)
So just checking to see who has off that weekend.
Thanks.![]()
. My kids just had off a day and a half this past Thur. and Fri. for parent-teacher conferences.
. I can understand the CPS are off. The Pulaski Day parade is usually on tv, right? Or am I getting confused with the big St. Patrick's Day parade?
My elementary school always had a day off for the Deerfield Fair, the country fair that's a couple towns over, at the end of September. Everyone always loved 6th grade. Thursday was a field trip to the fair, and Friday was a day offsuzannews said:Never heard of it. When we lived in Kissimmee we didn't get off for President's Day but were off the Friday before for Rodeo Day. Yes, every year when the county fair is in town, the kids are off of school to go to the rodeo.

I was running the weekly faculty meeting and announced that Monday was a holiday in honor of Roman Polansky. I was met with blank stares and lots of giggles.....apparently Polansky (as in the director who was involved in a child sex scandal)and Pulaski (Revolutionary war hero) are NOT interchangeable. Yes, my kids have the day off, too!
