Does your resort mail you anything?

Once you get near your travel dates, does your Disney resort send you anything like maps and such? Just curious. If not, if I request maps of the resort and parks will they send them or should I just wait til we get there?

No, your resort won't mail anything to you before your trip short of any confirmation or deposit. You can always call or fax them to see if they will mail out what you are looking for before you go.

I just got something in the mail from POR. This is the 1st time any resort has sent us anything prior to our visit. It's a cute tri-fold card with Goofy on it painting our last name. It has a checklist of things to do at the resort and the parks. It is stamped from Bill Thompson, General Manager POR. No maps or anything that you were looking for but still a great surprise for me and the kids. It's always exciting to get mail from Disney. I got this card about 4 days after I made my final payment on my reservation, at about 3 weeks before our check in date.

We got one of those tri-fold cards from the Contemporary before we arrived as well. It showed Goofy and had a picture of the Contemporary in it. My daughter loved it and it revved her up!

In advance of last stay, I got the Goofy card and then separately another letter/brochere from Wilderness Lodge. It was personalized, ie To the _______ family.

Was a nice touch and helps to build the excitement.

Didn't receive anything from the Boardwalk.

I cancelled my reservation at BC (switched to Swan) before the first deposit was even due. I still got the tri-fold Goofy pack and then later got something else anyway. (More than I got from the Swan.)
