Before I moved out, we would have the worst fights at my family's house. My aunt would insist on recoring things for her grandsons and herself, the problem was she would record EVERY episode of the show without deleting it. Then, she would delete other people's shows so my cousin could never watch her movies. I saw the contention the DVR was giving so I didn't use it. One night my cousin taped this movie she was waiting for weeks to see, my aunt deleted it before my cousin got to watch it. So in turn, my cousin deleted every episode of "American Idool". There was no way I stayed in the room when my aunt found out.
I watch way too many shows and have my schedule down to a science. On the rare occassions DH wants a show recorded he asks me to set it up for him. He has plenty of other TVs to choose from from live shows. I watch pretty much nothing except the news/GMA live anymore.
). DH knew what he was getting into then, LOL. I will give up pretty much every extra we have to keep my DVR!
