Does your baby like to sleep more than usual?

This is probably going to be a wierd question, but when going to WDW with an infant they say to try and get to the parks as early as possible. What do you do? Do you wake up baby early in the morning or does baby wake up on their own? I probably will wake up baby but I am almost positive that he will be cranky all morning. He usually doesn't wake up until 10:00 a.m. every day.
By the way he will be turning one at WDW.

We never woke our DS up to go to the parks. Getting there early was NOT worth a cranky kid all day. Plus he was staying up so much later anyway, it would have been nuts to wake him early.

Our kids are the opposite, they sleep less than usual. We have 4 kids(DS8, DD3, DS&DD 11 months) and they are all early risers. By 7:00 am everyone is up and ready to go. They all wake up in good moods so they sleep well but not long. In addition, the twins take maybe an hour nap at the most. My poor wife doesn't get a chance to rest.

Holy Crow!!!! What time does he go down at night?

My babes all wake at 6:00 am - have since they were born. It truly stinks. But alas, we are the ones who would say get there early and then go home early due to this. We also always go during off-season which makes going back to the parks at night a no go.

I would tell you to enjoy sleeping late - not something I get to do while working - and go when you get around.

The baby is going to sleep regardless if he's tired. He'll sleep in the car, stroller, arms, sling, etc. The older boys tend to normally sleep 8pm to 8 am at home, but wake up more around 7 am when on vacation. Staying up later may or may not happen. I guess I'm lucky; sleep schedules are ingrained in them naturally, never had to impose one.

If you are going around now, there are some pretty late hours at the parks. To avoid a cranky kid, you know your kid better than anyone, let him sleep. You'll still have plenty of time at the parks.

Thanks for the replies. My son usually goes to bed by 10:00 and wakes up twice during the night around 2ish and 4ish and will be fully awake around 9:30 a.m. If he goes to bed too early.....forget it my DH and i won't have any sleep at all. Oh well, I guess I will just hope for the best at WDW. Maybe he will wake up earlier there. :earsboy:
