My youngest dd will be 1 when we go. It would be great to think that she would be content in her stroller but she'll want to be carried a lot. What do you use to carry a 12 month old that would make standing in lines easier? Thank you ::MinnieMo

We have one of those, but haven't used it much yet. In Disney we used the Baby Bjorn when my daughter was 3, 4, 6, and 9 months, but I'm thinking I'll be using that carrier more on our April trip when she'll be almost 14 months. We actually have the Playtex version (Hip Hammock) and we got it at Babies R Us. It's comfortable to wear and my daughter seemed to like it enough when we have used it, but she seemed a bit small to me for it. It looked like she could fall through the leg openings at the time (she was 10 months, 28.5 inches, and 18lbs 3oz). She's a bit bigger now so I'm hoping she fits in it better (though not much, 29.25 inches and 18 lbs. 12 oz.), but she's a bit on the thin side for 11 months (25th percentile in weight) so I'm not sure how your child would be. The weight limit starts at 15 lbs. and goes up to 35lbs I think, so I mean she technically fits, but I feel the Bjorn is snugger for her=less scary for me. Even so, we'll be taking it with us to Disney in April. Assuming she's walking by then, I might also bring a harness for her so that if she doesnt' want to be in the stroller we have another option. My husband hates harnesses on babies, but I think it might be worth it not to lose her.

I have to put my plug in for the Hip Hammock by Playtex. I absolutely love it. We are going to WDW in april and DD will be 16 months, and we are going to use it for standing in lines. I purchased the hip hammock back in Oct. to use at a party my MIL was having. I carried DD around all night in it, and had no back pain and she loved it. The best part for me, compared to the Baby Bjorn (we have that too) is that the child is moved from directly in front of you to the side. Which means, you don't have dangling legs in front of yours, so it's much easier to walk. We bought the deluxe version, which is what I would reccommend. It has a nice faux suede fabric, pocket for cellphone, clip for keys and pacifier or toy, and can be used for right or left handed people. It also comes with a washing bag. It's also great b/c it can be used for larger kids, I think up to 35lbs. or so. Whatever you choose, have a great time! :earsboy:
