favor one artist over another?
Mine seems to really favor Blaine Larsen.(an up and coming country singer from the Pacific Northwest) When I put it on shuffle, he seems to be coming up more than anyone else. Not complaining, mind you, just interesting!

Mine favors Brandi Carlile (another up and coming Northwest singer) but that is probably because I have more of her songs on my iPOD than anybody else!

I wonder if that is because in iTunes you have the option to shuffle more or less randomly ( and you do )... and that transmits over to the iPod.

I can't remember where I saw it on iTunes but there is a way to shuffle more or less randomly on the iPod. . I'd have to play around a bit to find it again.

I didn't notice a difference. It'll still play the same artist back to back or with just a song or two between, then a little while later a new artist over and over.

Go to settings, highlight "shuffle" and click until it gets to the "songs" option, then go to music, playlists, highlight a playlist and hit play. Hopefully that made sense.

And my ipod doesn't always favor just one artist, but it often plays 3 or 4 songs in a row by the same artist. Once it was really freaking me out because it was only playing songs by 3 bands... then I realized I had accidently put it on a playlist with only those 3 bands, instead of my normal playlist with almost everything.

Mine favors George Strait .... and I don't think that's a good thing (went through a GS faze when I first got my iPod). 1000+ songs, I have just as many Rolling Stone and Del Leppard songs....it always seems to come up w/ good ole George and I seldom hear the Stones or Def Leppard. I just skip over poor George nowadays...I really can't hear The Fireman anymore...
