My DH has a chance to possibly go to Orlando for business. We thought of combining the trip with Disney, but most days he wouldn't even get to the parks til around dinnertime. Does WDW offer any discounts for this? Half day admission or anything?

I am not sure if this is still the case, but three years ago I was able to get an afternoon-only ticket that was made available only to people attending conventions and meetings on property. However, if my memory serves me correctly, the ticket was only available for the actual convention attendee--not the attendee's family.

I am almost certain that such a program still exits. However, I believe the tickets are only available from the event sponsor--i.e. you can not walk up to a ticket booth and say you're there for a conference and want a half-day ticket. If you husband has a meeting or convention on Disney propoerty, you should have your husband ask his event coordinator for information.

Epcot does have an after 4 pm annual pass for FL residents, but thay wouldnt hel ypu, would it :)

Ohhhh...that's a thought. I'll have him check. The conference is at the Gaylord Palms...not Disney Property, but close. I don't care about me and my dd...I just can't stomach paying for a full price ticket that he might only use for a couple of hours.

Anyway to save some bucks! :thumbsup2

1) Maybe.
2) Almost every convention in town has authorized WDW ticket brokers.
3) They can offer discount full-day, noon, and 2:00 tickets.
4) These are good for the attendee and family.
5) Just look for the brokers at the hotel or convention site.

Here's a linkie that might be helpful.

Thanks so much for the info! I've passed it on to DH to do some digging. Cross your fingers for us! :goodvibes

Also, check and see if the Pirate and Princess Party is being offered when you are there. That's almost like getting half day admission to MK. You pay less than $50 for the ticket and you can get into the park beginning at 4pm, even though the party doesn't officially start until later.

Some conventions are offered special discounts for admission after 2pm. That may be an option for you.
