Not sure about the horses....maybe in Alberta?

Wal-mart carries cold Krispy Kremes. They don't look to good though :confused3 Rather buy from Tim's.

Does the US have poutine?

What's that? And what kind of bag is the milk in??

Does Canada have a version of Hollywood?

We have A&W here in Pa too. We also had milk in bags when I was a kid. A gallon gave you 4 quart size bags. You had to buy your milk from a farm to get them though. Today, we here in PA anyway buy our milk in gallon jugs. Ours are all tinted jugs because they say nutrition is lost in any clear packaging. :confused3

Does Canada have Canada Dry ginger ale?

Yes, we have Canada Dry ginger ale! :rotfl:

Poutine is french fries with cheese curds on it, then gravy on top! (yes, really!)

Canada invented it!

No offense, but I think I'll pass on the poutine.

I do like Canada Dry though!

When I was young, the milk was in a clear plastic bag that was almost the exact size for that amount of milk. You'd buy a gallon, so in a bigger plastic bag they'd have packaged 4 qt. sized bags and sealed it with a twist tie. Once at home, you have a little plastic container that held these qt. sized bags and you'd simply snip a corner of the bag and pour. You couldn't close it up then like we can with the jugs or the half gallon cardboard type containers, but when it was only a qt. it didn't last long anyway.

Maybe even some poured their open milk into some other plastic type container? My mom never did though.

The closest we have to Hollywood....
Movies are often shot in Vancouver, and Toronto. Sometimes Banff. But no, we don't have somewhere where you can go look for celebrities and stuff.

Does the US have Smarties and M&Ms?

That's something else, Nance! Sealed it with a twist tie! That had to be awkward. Well, let me rephrase that. It would be awkward for me. I manage to spill something when it's in a sippy cup!

Canada has Canada Dry ginger ale! Does the US?

I guess the closest thing to Hollywood in Canada is a toss-up between Toronto and Vancouver. A lot of celebs spend time there and there's a strong film industry in both locations.

Poutine is french fries with cheese curds and brown gravy.

Milk is in a see-through plastic bag - here's a pic:

Yes, the US does have Canada Dry ginger ale

Does Canada have any places that do NOT accept US currency?

(I've been in Windsor, I've been in London, I've been in Ottawa, I've been in Niagara, and nearly everywhere in between, and everywhere I've stopped has accepted US Currency)

We have A&W in MN and Dairy Queen was started here. I grew up in So Cal though and DQ was hard to find there. They probably don't have one in Anaheim.

Does Canada have Target stores?

This thread is fun!

Oh, and what is the deal with health insurance there?

Isn't that bizarre?? I have been in some pretty little towns in Europe and only one little ice cream shop didn't accept US dollars. Most places gave us change in US dollars too!

Yes, we have smarties and m&ms!

Just a note about the kit kats, yes, we have them, but I've never seen the strawberry kit kats like I saw in Toronto. Mmmm...should have brought some home with me!

Does Canada have Lindt chocolate?

Okay, let me correct myself here. After reading your response, I can fully see where I didn't explain myself correctly.

The 4 qt. sized bags were fully sealed. The 4 sealed bags were then placed inside one larger bag which was closed with a twist tie (for easier carrying).

Here is a pic I found:

You then place this into a plastic container make for holding the milk and cut the milk open on the corner.

Chevron has gas stations in British Columbia.

I think Target has expanded into Canada. I know Wal-Mart is up there.

It's accepted everywhere....now whether or not they will give you full exchange value is another story!

Does the US have the sport of curling?
