Does Universal still put out vacation planning videos?

I need to find something to convince another work friend to give Univeral a try but gave out my last video a couple months ago. I looked but could not find a order page. Did UO do away with this?

Come on Mike, lighten up! Not everyone reads the boards everyday and catches every post. Another factor is that the search function can be down and there is NO way for them to know ALL the answers you do.If you have noticed people ask the same questions all the time, its a message board thats it's function
If certain questions irk you, skip em!

USO, maybe if it's been brought up "so many times before" you could have provided a link or links to all the information. I understand your point that there should be permanent information about this at the top of the UO board, but I sure wouldn't want to make a poster feel that they shouldn't ask a question.

To tell you the truth there are already so many of those "important messages" at the top of the page and still the same questions get asked.

To answer your question, "Would you agree then that common questions need to be important topics?" Yes. Will it eliminate the same questions being asked? Nope!

I have no problem with your suggestion of making it an important post. I do have a problem with the way you word a few of your responses and make people feel bad that they asked the question to begin with.

I just got a vacation planning video from Universal yesterday. I dont remember ordering one, but I did book a room at the Hard Rock, maybe they sent me one because of that. Its a lot like the Disney planning videos, fun to watch, but not much useful info. I learned a whole lot more reading these boards.

Oddly enough, I didn't have to use much imagination to do that!

Jessica, I couldn't have said it better myself. I see alot of questions asked over and over, and I also know the search function is disabled quite frequently, and I cringe everytime I see that person being practically chastised for asking. I just don't see the reason to do that. Like you said, if it bothers someone, they should just ignore it.

Thumpers father said it best, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" I'm sure he has no clue how bad he makes people feel at times. That's the really sad part.

Hey all I said was it needs to be an important topic, That was not a bad thing to say, I never said anything bad about anyone or to anyone. All I said was "PLEASE MAKE THIS AN IMPORTANT TOPIC"

I guess this is the quote that sounds as if you're annoyed with the original poster.

Obviously, you deleted some posts, so it's sort of hard to know exactly WHAT you said. Why did you delete them if that's all you said? (or did YOU delete them?)

You have been known to make comments like that, letting the poster know that they've asked a question that has been asked recently or frequently, and I don't think it's necessary to do that. It makes people afraid to ask something, this shouldn't be a scary place to come!

It's just something that you might try to avoid, it makes people feel bad, and I'm sure that's not your intent. Remember that text is tough to translate, and an offhand remark might just sound mean depending on how it's inferred.

It was when I joined or do you not recall the 3 threads one of which you took part in to tear me and my site down publicly on the boards. You all drove me off once with that, but you know what, I don't need to help this forum any more because the rewards for helping this group are not worth the insults.

Also, when I said it should be an important topic it was directed to the Moderators not the Poster, also I did answer the question.

I think the 14 Million hits my site has got in the last 3 years speaks volumes for my site you all tore down when I joined here.

You know, I've tried to be nice, and not say stuff, but did you or did you NOT say: "This has been brough up so many time in the last few months I can't believe people still ask this question. " Because you MAY have answered the question, and you may have made a valid point about it needing to be an important topic, although, it doesn't come up THAT much. BUT, if you made that comment, then you are off base. Everything else you say is irrelevant if you're going to insult people and make them feel stupid for asking a question.

I had NOTHING to do with ripping your site apart. Get over it. I had a problem with your attitude and with the way you answer questions whether or not you know the correct answer. You gave out alot of bad information, which was MY problem, and then when anyone gave the correct info...you take it as a personal attack. People can't even express their opinions without getting you upset, if their opinion happens to differ from yours.
Why do you have SO much to prove? Why do you always have to be right, even when you're not? Perhaps a professional could help with that, because it doesn't set well with those around you, virtually or otherwise.
In short, Your lack of people skills are what caused you to be driven off. NOBODY else has these problems. I wonder why. Be a victim if you must, but as Dr. Phil says, "you teach people how to treat you". 'nuff said.
