We will be staying at the West Gate resort. Which is only about a mile away from the park.

Does Universal have a shuttle bus like disney? I would much rather do that than to pay for parking or to walk each day.

Thanks!

They have a shuttle for the onsite hotels, but not anything outside.

You're staying at 6145 carrier drive 32819. Bring up maps.yahoo.com and type that in. It's actually farther than a mile, more like 2. The resort is located on the back side of Wet N' Wild. To walk, it would be like going a full city block, then over I-4 on a bridge. It would take a good half an hour to walk that far. I didn't see any information about the resort having a shuttle. The problem with resort shuttles is they don't start running until after 9am and your early morning advantage would be gone.

I'd recommend you drive the rental car or take a limo over the first day. Then if the resort has a shuttle and you don't care about arriving early, you can use that. What I've seen lately is hotels hire the shuttle service out to limo services and charge guests for it. So you pay one way or the other.

If you really really really want to park for free, there's my site here, but you'll walk an extra 10 minutes.
