Does this timing make sense???

I book Hollywood and Vine dinner at 5:25. The girl told me that we would have plenty of time to get into Fantasmic (since it is a buffet), but it seems way to close of a call for me.

I am no expert, so what do you think? I read somewhere that we shold line up at least an hour before the show to be sure to get a seat. It is for Feb. 2 and we want to see the show for my soon to be 6 year old twins ' birthdays.

Any suggestions?

Did you book the fantasmic package at H&V? It doesn't cost any more than just the meal, and it's priority/reserved seating, although not front-and-center (more like off to the right of the stage).

They give you a pass when you sit down to have dinner at H&V to access the special seating area, and you could easily make it through dinner starting at 5:30 and find a seat with your pass.

Then maybe try showing up 30 minutes or so early for your ADR - and see if they'll let you check in?

In past experience, the longest part of the meal there is waiting for the table.

It is a buffet, so you can eat as quickly as necessary, and it is not a far walk from there to the entrance to fantasmic... maybe a ten minute trip from the time you leave your table to be in line.
