Does this seem wrong to anyone else?

No because there are a million ways to violate the embargo with Cuba. You can go to any Caribbean country on any cruise line and buy Cuban cigars, remove the bands and bring them home.
Bin Laden isn't selling cigars, rum, etc so there is no need to track goods.

No. As DawnCT said there are a million ways to violate the embargo. The only reason the treasury department is involved with bin Laden is to track down his bank accounts, not anything else.

We've allowed our economy to depend on trade with China. Our "great leaders" choose to overlook China's human rights violations and Communist government in order to import goods that could in many cases be made here by American workers.

Cuba could sink into the sea and it wouldn't matter to the US economy. The US embargo against Cuba hasn't worked in the almost 40 years it's been in place. Our allies snicker about the US position on Cuba and Cuban interests.

It's time for this nonsense to stop.

The US Embargo against Cuba had denied the oppressive and tyrannical regime of Fidel Castro billions of American dollars. The only reason our allies snicker about our position towards Cuba is that they have lucrative hotel contracts there. They have a vested interest in seeing that their hotels, restaurants, etc. get more business. That is the only reason the international community does not agree with the embargo.

from the point of view that the cuban embargo is a useless waste of time and money (imho), yes it does seem wrong.

Of course, from that point of view it will always seem wrong.
