Does this seem doable? or too much?

I've developed a schedule of ADR's for our trip in December. We'll have a 6 year old and a 3 year old (she's turning 3 during the trip.)

I know it's never a good idea too book "too many" ADR's but this is our first trip and I do want to try some of these. Those of you who have "been there done that" with young kids might be able to tell me if I am stretching it or if this is doable. :goodvibes

Monday (arrival day) - MAGIC KINGDOM
Chef Mickey's for dinner

Tuesday - MAGIC KINGDOM
early AM CRT for breakfast (one can wish, right?)

Wednesday - MAGIC KINGDOM
early or late AM Crystal Palace for breakfast

Thursday - ANIMAL KINGDOM
Whispering Canyon for dinner (we are staying at the WL so this should be okay)

Friday - EPCOT
Akershus - dinner

Saturday - DHS
Ohana for dinner not sure about this one, if this will be a pain or not

Sunday - ???
Hoop-de-doo review - dinner - (this is DD3's birthday)

Monday - departure day
1900 Park Fare Breakfast (not sure if this will work, but I wanted to try to squeeze it in somewhere!!) :thumbsup2

Is there anything that jumps out to you as not working? What would you change? Thanks so much!! BTW, we are on the DDP. :)

It all looks fine to me - you have to eat and one sit down a day isn't out of reason.

For the DHS then Ohana's day I would assume you leave DHS go back to the hotel and then go to the Poly for dinner?

Liz

Thank you so much for your quick response! Yes, we would go back to the resortl and chill first. :goodvibes

my only question is what time is your flight home, and are you using the ME? if you're using ME you have to leave your resort 3 hours in advance, so you have to be sure to be back for breakfast, packed and checked out in time. Everything else looks great, plus like the PP said, you do have to eat

Yeah- as long you walk through your day and how you will physically do everything- that's the key to things not being too crazy.

I personally don't think you have too much at all- we always eat 1 or 2 sit downs a day- and this summer we'll have a 5 yo, newly 3yo, and a 2 month old and we plan on doing at least 1 sit down every day.
But our kids are pretty used to eating out being that I'm not much for cooking :-) So tehy're used to it.

All of those places sound great too- and everything at Disney at is pretty kid friendly. :-)

Have fun!

I think they look fabulous!:thumbsup2 My opinion is that you can't have too many sit down meals at Disney! Then again, we love the Deluxe Dining Plan so there you go!

All of the places you picked are really good (I haven't done Hoop-de-doo yet though but people seem to love it!)

Chef Mickey's is awesome!
Love love love Ohana, it's a must do every trip! If you can't get into Ohana, Kona Cafe is really good!
Crystal Palace breakfast is great!
Akershus (we only did lunch) was great, loved the Princesses!
Whispering Canyon Cafe was lots of fun, our waitress was a real hoot!

For your DD3 b-day, I'd suggest you take her to 1900 Park Fare over at the Grand Floridian! It's a super fun place to eat, especially if she likes princesses. Cinderella, Step-mom, Step-sisters, Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming are all there and are fantastic. It's a buffet and we like the food there! She could dress up for the meal too, that's what we did with my 3 daughters and they loved it!

I realize you want to do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast too. Personally we loved both breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast has Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mad Hatter and I think that's it. Anyhoo, I'd still eat there for both meals because my girls really loved it there! However, if you didn't want to eat breakfast at 1900 Park Fare then I highly recommend Ohana breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto! Another must do for every trip for us! :goodvibes

That's good to know. Thanks.

I wonder then, if I should put 1900 Park Fare on another day and just have one of the days be two sit down meals? If so, which day would you put it on?

Actually, I don't have a preference for b-fast or dinner, I was just trying to squeeze it in. Now I'm thinking that I may put it on a different day. Do they do lunch too? (I guess I can go check!) Maybe I could do PF for lunch and HDDMR for dinner. That would be a fun birthday. She's not that much into princesses yet, although she likes to copy her older sister, so I am sure she will be by then. ;)

Thank you - see, in my heart I don't think sit down meals are going to be a hassle for us. The kids are going to need a break, right? I keep hearing about how I will regret having too many ADR's so I am trying to find that balance. Thanks for your input!! :)

I think your plan looks great, and I'm sending pixie dust that you get what you want! I'm also happy to see I'm not the only crazy person obsessing over where to eat dinner seven months from now. Even though I have no idea what I'm making for dinner tonight.:rotfl:

Here's what I have in mind:

Sat.: arrival (late afternoon), probably just hit food court/pool/explore resort

Sun: DTD/T-Rex for lunch, then to MK for Crystal Palace dinner and MVMCP

Mon: EPCOT and LeCellier dinner

Tue: MK, then 1900PF dinner

Wed: AK, then Chef Mickey's dinner

Thu: EPCOT, early Akershaus breakfast

Fri: DHS, Sci-Fi dinner

Sat: CRT breakfast (fingers crossed!)

:rotfl2: I know, right!? I am like a woman obsessed and I can't even make ADR'S until September! :rotfl:

I love all of your ADRs! I see we have some similar ones. I probably should just chill on our arrival day too, but I thought I might kick us off with a bang at Chef Mickey's. We'll see. I don't even have my flight itinerary yet. :rolleyes1 At least I have my resort confirmation, so I am not totally wacky.

I love to do 1900 or Chef Mickeys for breakfast on departure day -- what time is your flight? And are you taking ME?

I don't think it's a bad idea to do something fun the first night. Your kids will love Chef Mickey's! I just talked DH into going a day early (airfare is cheaper so we're SAVING money, except for the extra $250 for our room/dining plan :rotfl:) I already worked in the meals we really want to do, assuming I get the ADRs I want, so I thought we'd just chill that first night. But it also gives me a good alternate date, if we can't get something when we want. So we may end up doing a character meal that first night after all. My magic ADR date is Aug. 30. It's already circled on my calendar. :) What are we supposed to do until then? :rotfl:

I'm right there with you guys :cool1: We'll be there from 11/29-12/05 :goodvibes

I am HOPING to get these ADR's ;)

Sun - Whispering Canyon Cafe - Dinner
Mon - Play & Dine @ Holywood & Vine - Lunch with JUNE!!!
Tues - Ohana - Dinner
Wed - Chef Mickey's - Breakfast with MICKEY!!!
Thurs - Le Cellier - Dinner
Fri - Boma - Dinner

I even know that I will be using SEVERAL snack credits a Goofy's Candy Co :rotfl:

I can not wait until Aug 31st! :thumbsup2

Wow, that's awesome! You've got just about all of mine and then some! :thumbsup2 If we were going during free dining, I'd try to talk DH into the deluxe plan too. ;) Here's to lots of pixie dust to all of us that we get everything we want! :wizard:

I so wish we were going for free dining!!! But I did receive a pin back in February for 40% off of our stay, so we are staying at POP and out of the 11 nights I did get 6 nights at 40% off. We have tossed the dining plan around so much and I have studied it so much that many nights I have went to bed with a headache trying to decide!!! haha But it's our first trip, and will be a long, long time before we go back so were going for it ;)

I don't blame you! This is our first trip too, and hubby claims it will be our last for a long time. :sad2:

We're staying at the the Cabins at Ft Wilderness - This is a complete surprise trip for my 3 DS's - we are driving in and won't tell them until we are in the World!

They have been wanting to go for a while now, and I am about to burst from holding in the secret! Thank goodness for the DIS so I can get my "fixes" or I'd never last until the end of Nov. :scared1:
