Does this ebay auction for Disney Store GCs seem legit?

I wanted to buy some gift cards from this auction, but I was wondering if it was legit? I always worry about "too good to be true" deals. Any input appreciated!

I don't think I would do it. He says he wants a MO, so if he stiffs you, you lose out, and why charge 2.00 more for paypal? I don't know, somthing just doesnt sit right with me. :s

He probably wants the $2.00 to pay for the Paypal fee which on $50.00 would be around that. He only has 5 feedback and 1 negative. I don't bid on anything unless they have a lot more feedback than that. It's not that great of a deal...20% off.

With the recent sale of the Disney Stores, I'd be concerned that there might be some kind of announcement the G.C. purchased previously would only be honored up to a certain date. This is nothing I've read or heard first-hand, just a personal thought...

I wouldn't trust this person based on their poor use of grammar (sorry it is a pet peeve of mine).

Also, I looked at their other auction (for a car), and they stated in their auction that they are a marketing director at Disney - interesting!

People who are really employed as marketing directors do not write like him. He may work for Disney, but I'll bet you it's at a much lower level.

You think there might be a seminar in which he was told that everyone is in marketing when they work for Disney in his background?

Don't bid and turn him in to eBay. The extra charge for using PayPal is against eBay rules (and I believe federal law as well).

Edited: I turned him in. The PayPal thing is questionable as it's tied in with shipping. But the note about calling him directly for sales "off eBay" is definitely against the rules.

Thanks for the input, I thought it seemed a little fishy. I just wish there were programs similar to Hotwire Savings Club that also had Disney Store GCs at 20% off. (and Cheesecake Factory gift cards too LOL)

I know this is minor, but aren't stamps 37cents? Am i missing something here? I hate to get his hopes up by even watching this auction but i'm curious as to how it will turn out!

Someone used buy it now. $50.00. Could it be he does works for Disney (I would bet he's no marketing director) he thinks stamps are .35 and spells your as ur?????? Maybe he gets an employee discount. Do CMs get a discount on gift cards??? I checked out the car he has listed and he's giving away 4 Disneyland tickets with purchase! One question why did he take photos of his car at night? You can't even see what it looks like.

There's something very fishy with this guy. I agree, his nighttime pics of the car are ridiculous and the listing for the car is as bad as the one for the gift cards.

I buy alot on ebay and I wouldn't go near an auction from this seller!

Yeah, something's shady. FYI, CMs do not get a discount on GCs. Since they can use GCs for a purchase & get their purchase discount, if they rec'd a GC discount originally, they'd be getting a double discount. CMs pay full price for GCs.
