It's ok....let's start our own DIS friends list (kinda like Facebook)

Pretty soon, we will be FLOODED with friends and we won't even worry how many peopple visited our page. AND we won't care if the board tracker is there or not! Hmmph!

I don't know why its creepy. This is a PUBLIC message board after all. There are probably hundreds or thousands of people who read here and never even post, have a membership or even look at your profile.

If its not something you would stand up in front of a room full of strangers and say OR better yet, put in print on a billboard on a highway, then you probably shouldn't post it on a public message board.

I look at profiles because I like to know a little bit about the people I'm reading about or talking with. Age, occupation, education. That sort of thing. It helps give a little more info to understand where they are coming from in their thoughts or opinions.

Your profile is public information too if you filled it in. If it creeps you out, then delete the info there.

I really don't understand why people looking at your profile scares people. Maybe you don't belong on public message boards & should stick with private ones.

I didn't even know that it existed until this thread. I went to mine and I have 151 visitors. I clicked on one of my visitors and now I'll be listed on hers as well (sorry Tina something or other)

I do check the profile sometimes mostly when I'm trying to help about something related to school or special ed. Mostly it's to find out what state they live in so that I can post links that pertain to the laws of their state.

I hope that I haven't creeped anyone out. Honestly, I was just trying to help!

Click on your name on the left side of one of your posts. Then click on "View public profile" That will bring you to another page. Look at the right side of that page and you will find a box titled "recent visitors".

The reason you have no visitors and/or no friends showing in your profile pages is that you have them turned off in your profile options.
