Does this creep anyone out

Sometimes I accidentally go to others profiles, like when I am on the couch with the laptop (not using a mouse) and click on something using the touch pad (hate that thing). Once or twice I've clicked on a person's avatar because of a neat pic hoping I could see a bigger version- doesn't work, just makes me look like a stalker.

If anyone sees my name as a lurker this is the reason, yeah thats right, the touchpad

J/K, I am always clicking on the OP's name when I'm trying to click on the thread title, I hate my touchpad too.

Hey, did you know if you click on the profile, hit the back button, and then click on the profile - it counts as another visit. You can do that 10 times in a row to increase the visit count.

Last week, on one of the "Dis Gone Wild" threads, lol, I learned that when you click on the number of replies to a thread, you get a window saying how many times each member posted to that thread. Now, after this thread, I find myself clicking on anything clickable to see what happens.

As many times as people say that it is common to accidentally click and end up visiting someone's profile, there will always be people who prefer to assume everyone is doing it intentionally.

I can't tell you how many times I have accidentally clicked a user-name when I was attempting to open a thread. Its a really EASY thing to do. So if that leaves my name behind and makes me a stalker/lurker - who cares.

I've accidently clicked on someone's profile a few times, usually I just back up and click where I meant to click. There's once or twice I've clicked on someone's profile on purpose, but only if I'm pm'ing them or I'm trying to figure out how to put them on 'ignore'.

I did have someone on another board pm me and say they had read all of my old posts, that kind of made me go . He was trying to figure out if he knew me, (he didn't but we know many of the same people) but it was still a little creepy.

I click on people's pictures. I don't see anything wrong with it, and have no problem if someone clicks on mine. Doesn't mean I'm a 'lurker', or anyone else for that matter. Just curiosity.

I've accidently clicked onto peoples profiles many times before.

But there are a couple of occasions where I click into it to see how old they are (if it's posted).

ETA: There are also some people I have clicked into their profile so I can ignore them.

ETA: There are also some people I have clicked into their profile so I can ignore them.

You don't have to go click on their profile to put them on ignore - you can do it right through your own user options - choose "edit ignore list" and type in all the names you want..

I've done this if a poster is irritating me just to see if I can see what their problem is. I don't know what I am expecting to find, but the last time I did see that it put my username there, so I won't be doing it anymore.

That is SOOOO COOOL. There have been many times when I wanted to go back to my posts on a thread but after 20 pages couldn't find them-this makes it easy!!
