Does the wedding party count as "guests"?

I'm looking into a Disney wedding. This is probably a stupid question, but is the wedding party counted as "guests" in the however many guests you are allowed for the ceremony? I am looking at an Escape wedding and it says only 18 guests, which would be fine except I have a large immediate family. Having my 4 sisters as maids of honor would still be counted towards the 18 guests, right?

Hi-yes, the wedding party counts towards the 18. There can be 20 people total including the bride and groom.

Keep in mind that outside officiants (not on Disney's list) and outside photographers count as well.

Photographers do not count as guests in an Escape wedding. At least that's what my planner told me. We have exactly 18 guests and so I made sure of this. I was worried!!! I have booked outside of Disney for my photographers so I double-checked!

All the wedding party including the bride and groom, yes. We were not told that the officiant/photographers counted. We had a wishes wedding but I can't see hue that would be any different unless the officiant/photographers are also dining/toasting/eating cake with you.

Lisa, for escape weddings, if you bring in your own officiant (not choosing one off Disney's list), they will count as a guest, at least for the ceremony. You could have someone else at your cake cutting in place of the officiant. My planner said the first 18 people are let in. After that, no more! I wonder who gets to be the heavy at the door for that!
