Does the Ocean Lab give the pillow cases to sign?

So I read about these pillow cases the characters get to sign, so I'm confused where do these pillow cases come from? Does the OCean Lab give them to the kids? I say ocean lab cause thats where my DS age group goes, he's gonna be 8. And what's the deal with the camp out? Do they really stay the night in tents in the OL? Or is it a game that goes on until a certain time? He wants to do the camp out, but I'm not gonna let him sleep overnite in there.

The pillowcases you bring on board and give them to the guest services desk when you board. They will give them back the last night. I got mine personalized off of ebay. Someone might have the link for you. I want to say the name was antonia H if you want to search on ebay. The campout I have no idea.

You supply the pillow case and drop it off at Guest Services. I don't recall the camp out, but I doubt that it would be an overnight event. Maybe one of the navigators posted at the top of the board has some info.

I think it was in the Club not the Lab (not sure which year it was) but one year my DD went to the club in PJ's and they decorated a small pillow case as an activity. I believe Goofy was there that night and he signed the pillow case. We did bring our own one year. I think I got them at KMart because they carried pillow cases with a pretty mickey head trim. That was also a couple years ago so I don't know if they still carry them. My favorite thing to get signed is a personalized shirt from Disneyshopping.com. They become great souveniers.

Yes they will have all the characters sigs on it. Plus I have heard of people just getting certain sigs like Princesses only. Or your case would be no princesses if he is not interested in them. They will do a great job. I had Tinkerbell on one and sleeping beauty on another but that lady makes them for boys also. She had pirate, stitch, mickey all sorts of great things check it out.

I bought DS's pillowcase from the same E-Bay store. It was less than $12 including shipping. Turned out very nice, especially like the personalization. Many charaacters to choose from. Highly recommend! DS got Donald Duck!

Would they sign other things if you left them with Guest Services. We collect baseball caps and I would love to have the characters sign my son's cap.

I ordered 2 pillowcases from Amazon.com and I believe they came from JoAnn Fabrics. One was Cinderella and one was Ariel. I had to cross stitch them but I enjoy that and also it is something I made so it makes it more personal. I dropped them off in a ziploc bag with the markers I wanted them to use. They have a slip they fill out in case you want all the characters, or certain ones. However there are a couple missing on one, but they are on the other. I also dropped of 2 photo mats for them to sign. One side was blue and one was white. Someone from guest services tracked me down at dinner one night to ask which side I wanted signed.

Another nice thing for the characters to sign is a frame. We went to AC Moore and bought a white cardboard frame. We then picked out multi color markers. WOW it is great-especially with a picture of my DC-6 and mickey.

My girls love their pillowcases (they actually have them displayed on their walls).

We bought a package of 2 pillowcases at the store the night before the cruise (left others at home...oops) and dropped them off at Guest Services as soon as we boarded. The signed pillowcases were left in our stateroom on Friday night so we had them when we got back from dinner.

You can supply the markers or they'll just handle it all for you....

Upon one of the MANY great tips on this board, on our cruise I took 3 bags (3 kids!) and each bag had a pillowcase, fabric markers (classic colors for DS, pastel colors for DDs) and each one had a SHORT note with their name, our stateroom numbers, and briefly told them what they liked.

For instance my youngest DD I just put a note on there "likes princesses, minnie, etc.", for my oldest I put "favorite character is stitch" (to make sure she got stitch's sig on on there!) and for my son I put "likes fab 5 and all male characters, PLEASE NO PRINCESSES on his pillowcase!" because I knew he'd flip out if they had a bunch of "girls" signatures on there.

They did exactly what we requested. The cases were returned in the bags, with my note and fabric markers still enclosed.

I was kinda hoping they'd sign only on one side, you know- so they could "show" one side but when they slept they could put their little heads on the opposite side and not slobber in their sleep all over the signatures. Yes, my kids insist on actually USING the signed pillowcases- the horror! LOL

However, there were so many signatures on the girls I'm sure that's why it was on both sides. No clue why they put the few signatures on my son's all on both sides- there were plenty of room to put them on one side. *shrugs*

Ps. the sleepover I believe is just that the club/lab was open later. Atleast I think so. I don't believe it was overnight -nope. But I do think it was open later that night for the PJ party/sleepover. I could be wrong...
