Does the Mayor of Main Street in MK Still Exist

Back in 2000 The Mayor met the Mayor of Main Street. (Picture below I’m on the left). I’ve been a lot of times since then but have never seen him again. I always think I’m going to remember to ask a CM but always forget. Has anyone seen him recently?

Sadly he passed away several years ago.

More recently we have had the Fire Chief appear in a similar role. Not the Mayor, but still a Main Street official

That is sad. I wasn't sure if it was the same person or if he was a like the characters and different people rotated through.

Executives in my office have pictures of celebrities and elected officials. I have a picture of the Mayor of Main Street and me

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has lost one of its favorite magic-makers, as Christopher George Weaver, known to millions of guests as “the Mayor of Main Street USA,” passed away on Christmas Eve (2017) at age 84.

Longtime Walt Disney World cast member Christopher George Weaver, known to his friends as Chris or “Carl” (after the character from Pixar’s Up), was born in Miami, Fla. in 1933. His performing career spanned 60 years, 26 of which were with Disney.

We always looked forward to interacting with the citizens of Main Street. One of my favorite memories is pin trading with Scoop Sanderson.

Man I thought I had seen him fairly recently, but a check of my photos reveals it was 2016.
when he was seeking free coffee at Starbucks and was turned down, it was pretty funmy.

They have what could be thought of as a sort of tribute/omage to The Mayor on Main Street as a scarecrow this year. I saw this in The Tim Tracker's video yesterday.
