Does the London phonebooth ever work?

I've heard other people have had issues with the phone booth in the past, but nonetheless I tried to do it myself the other day when I went to the park and after a few attempts I got nowhere. Does anyone know if it ever worked? And if has, what is said on the other line out of curiosity?

I dialed MAGIC and got the Ministry of Magic recording.

It's worked whenever we have used it.......but the person that went after us one year said it didn't work for them........

Yes, that is what I've heard, but I was more curious for more specifics. Like is it a recording from the film itself, or is it a new recording they made specifically for the park? Like what is exactly stated over the phone by the Ministry of Magic?

There is more than one message you hear.......I think I was told there are 7 different messages........

The one we heard the most was telling us everyone was busy in the Ministry and to head to the LC and use flue power for emergency or words to that effect........

Keep trying next time you go back........they're good.

We tried it several times when we were there in January and never had a message.

When I was there in September and December it worked. My message said the Ministry of Magic Visitors entrance was closed or something of the sort. Not sure what my friends got.

I have personally never had any luck with it, so I'm surprised to see you all have. Admittedly I haven't tried in some time, last being near the opening of Diagon Alley.
