Does the Living Seas being closed change your touring plan?

I think it is going to change mine. We have a DS 5 and DS 2, so the Living Seas was number one on our list for Epcot. We also put Figment on the list, but to be honest it wasn't that high of a priority. I am now thinking about hitting Epcot quick one morning to try to do TT and Soarin' then head over to MK. Then maybe on a different day browse some of WS in a late afternoon/evening. Please..., tell me if I am missing something, but I just don't see Epcot being as much fun for DS 5 and DS 2 as the other parks would be.

Thanks in advance!

Not at all. We've avoided the Living Seas the last few trips anyway as it was so run down. We were going to check out Turtle Talk which we forgot about last trip though. No biggie. It wasn't that big of a deal for us anyway. We will try to see it in December.

I would agree that Epcot does not have the attractions that a 2 & 5 yr old would find interesting. I would agree with your plan to hit some highlights in FW one morning and then park hop to MK - and pick up WS for the afternoon/evening.

Sounds like a plan!

Living Seas has always been one of my favorites. We're going the beginning of Nov. but sounds like it'll be closed til late in the month. I'm kind of bummed. Our boys enjoyed going too when they were young.

doesn't change our plans at all. Last time we went to the living seas, it was nice, but not a highlight. We can take it or leave it actually.

when I go my kids will be 2 & 4 and now I really have to rethink things!! They love the living seas - so much to do in there and with the new nemo area and Turtle talk - they loved it!!

DD loves Figment so we will definately do that and TT & Soarin' and the innoventions for a quick walk through - but I am REALLY bummed TT will be closed -

I can't believe they just opened it and are closing it this quick!! I would think they would find some way to still have it!!

It doesn't change in the sense of what day we visit the park or anything. But it will change that we obviously won't be visiting it.

We will just spend more time in innoventions or at the food and wine festival. I am slightly disappointed as I really wanted to see turtle talk.

although it wont change our plans I was disappointed to read this. That is a great place to go to get out of the heat in August.

It throws my plan off and really makes me sad! DD cried, she was really looking forward to seeing the dolphins and Crush. I was looking forward to the cool scrapbook pics :guilty:

Probably will mine. We were planning to skip AK this trip. We're only spending a half day at Epcot, and this was one of the Must Do's. I was disappointed for Ice Station Cool to be closed, and now with this, it only leaves us three things that we wanted to do. We may just change our plans and do AK instead.

We did Turtle Talk in May and it was fun but our 5 yr old loves so many other areas of Epcot that it won't really effect our plans. However it is good to know in advance to set the right expectation.

This is a major disappointment for us. We were really looking forward to seeing Turtle Talk. My 4 yr old loves fish and we skipped this on our last trip. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking we may reschedule our trip.

I have kids that age 2, 5, 5 and I am rethinking our plans to...I might cut epcot down from 2 days in the park to just one. I will probably cancel the PS at corral reef too.

Definately bummed about this one :guilty:

We skipped epcot last trip when our princess was 3.. Thought she would get a big kick out of this one this trip.

Luckily in addition to the Coral reef being open, so is the aquarium-- therefore the Aqua Tour my princess and loving bride surprised me with is still a go! :cheer2:

Not sure when the Living Seas closed. We were there last week and it was all open.

What??? I read/skimmed the first page of this thread and it sounds like it's down in Aug to Nov??? If so- that means it's closed during our trip and I'm pretty darn bummed about it. We were looking forward to doing turtle talk many times again.
Plus it's such a great place to wind down a bit from a hectic day- kids have fun, cool off inside, etc.
*wahhhhhhh* Why oh why would they close down something with something fairly new in it like that? How new is turtle talk? I have no idea how new but June was our first time to go to it.

What else does your five year old love? I don't want to miss something the boys might enjoy! ::MinnieMo

We're planning on EpCot Aug 20th for the larger rides and lunch at SanAngel. Now we'll make sure we get to the Living Seas as it will be closed our 2nd wk at WDW. We're planning alot more time at EpCot our 2nd wk once we move over to BCV

I agree. I dragged DH into Turtle talk because I hear so many 'good' things about it.

meh...it was ok. not a big thing for me.

I would love to see some updating in Living seas though (get rid of the hyrdolators!!!)
