Does the 500 dollar gift card have an experation date?

I asked this earlier and double checked when I called to modify our reservation. The gift cards being offered with the package deals do NOT expire (just like the Disney gift cards you can purchase). Yes, you can use it on future visits. He also stated that unlike last years gift card promo, these can be used for almost everything including alcohol, spa treatments, dining, and as the gal that answered my post stated, you can even use it towards a bounce-back reservation.~~

You CANNOT use it towards the purchase of the dining plan, because it must be added BEFORE you arrive at Disney. You don't get the gift card until after you check into the resort. You can use the GC to pay for the tips & such that you acquire while on the dining plan, however. You can also use it to upgrade your park ticket from the base 5 day ticket to the park hopper option, the water park + more option, and even add additional days.

So if hubby and I were to book a package with the gift card offer. Once we get there and check in could we then put our five day passes towards APs as well as the gift card?

Yes, we did so on an offer with free gift cards that we got in May. We received 2 free $500 giftcards, used one the upgrade a 1 day pass (only needed to purchase 1 day with that offer) to an AP and the other for mostly food we purchased using the tables in Wonderland card, no problem.
