Does the 1st DVC you stayed at always feel like "home"?

Interesting question. In some ways, yes. Prior to joining DVC, we stayed at OKW. Even though we only stayed 2 or 3 times before purchasing, I fell in love with the resort.

However, I remember riding the bus by SSR, and thinking, "Wow. I wonder if we'll ever be able to afford to own there?" It just stole my heart. We purchased SSR via resale, and to this day, SSR and OKW are top on my list. :cloud9: As a matter of fact, we are about ready to close on a 100 point OKW contract! :dance3:

For us the answer would be "no." Old Key West is the first place we stayed and, while we loved it, the Beach Club (where I own) is home. My son and his wife, on the other hand, think of the Boardwalk as home, and we don't own any points there. Go figure. I think it's all a matter of taste and what "speaks" to you.

Thanks everyone, we just purchased at GCV and so we are hoping that feels like "home" to us as well because we have only ever stayed at DLH and love the pool and resort.

1st DVC stay was at VB and then off to the BW (our home) and then off to the BC-
Have to say that the BW feels most like home. Although, I absolutely love VB!

Well, I rented before becoming an owner, but I can say that AKV is not home for me. It's beautiful and unique, but it's not "home."

I bought BLT sight unseen, and will be staying there in September, so that will be good for me, but I think it will take me a while and a few more stays before I find my DVC "home." (However I strongly suspect my DVC "home" will turn out to be OKW) :goodvibes
