Does Splash close for Spectro?

I noticed on our last trip that we stopped hearing the screams from Splash Mountain just before (and during) the parade. Do they close Splash for Spectromagic, or was that just a coincidence? Perhaps a mechanical problem, or could it be that very few people were in line?

If they do close it down, what do they do with the people in line at the time?

It must have been mechanical because I was watching Specto while waiting for everybody who was on Splash.

Nope, it doesn't close (unless the second parade is running, and the park has closed).

I don't think it closes at all while the park is open...I went on it during the fireworks once. We got to ride it over and over w/o getting off and just before the big drop you could see the fireworks going off. It was great!
