Does Seuss Landing get unbearable at 11-noon like Fantasy Land does?

After the Spiderman breakfast, I was thinking of touring the park counter clockwise which would put us in Seuss Landing right around noon. I will NEVER be in Fantasy Land again at that time...mean, tired and hungry...and that's just the parents, no thanks! LOL, so I thought I'd ask.

Maybe we should do it clockwise starting at Jurassic park and ending with Toon Lagoon?

I have no clue, maybe a plan isn't even needed?, so if anyone is pathetically bored, LOL, here's my must do/plan for me, dh and 5 yr old Spidy Jr, 2nd week in June.

I'd love any comments or suggestions. Thanks a bunch!

IoA

I plan to be at the gate at 8:30

Spiderman – ride it and get an express pass to ride again later

Pterandon Flyers – (if we have time before 10:00 Spidy breakfast, heard the lines are long later)

Spiderman Breakfast - 10:00 Confiscos at Port of Entry

Spiderman - again after breakfast

Seuss Landing

The Cat in the Hat
One Fish (little wet)
If I ran the Zoo (play area)
Caro-Seuss-El

Lost Continent

Poseidon’s Fury
The Mystic Fountain (play spot little wet)
Sinbad (show)
The Flying Unicorn

Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park River Adventure ? (a little wet, might be too scarry)
Camp Jurassic (play area)

Toon Lagoon

Me Ship play area
Popey (last - very wet)

Change – go have dinner, not sure where yet.

Where are you staying while visiting Universal? What type of passes will you have?

Sounds like a good plan. You have done your homework. :teacher:
When my kids were at that age we would hit Fantasy Land as soon as MK opened. Dumbo is such a slow loading ride that lines get crazy, so we got that out of the way first. Leagues used to be a rough one too. Using that same theory you might want to try and work One Fish Two Fish in early. I think you will have time before breakfast. After the Flyers continue walking through the Lost Continent to Suess Landing and I think you might have time for One Fish and maybe Cat in the Hat. If you can do that you've beaten most of the mid-day lines.
While in Toon Lagoon you might want to include Ripsaw Falls. On the bridge that goes over the Ripsaw log boats there are 25 cent water cannons that I think your 5 year old will get a kick out of (DH too).
Have fun! :cheer2:

Think about this plan.

Arrive 08:00am, be first to the gate. Line is actually long at 08:30am.
One of you take the kids to Suess Landing (to the right), while the other goes to Spiderman (to the left). Take a ride, and gets 2 express passes for noon.
Then the one who rode Spiderman, goes back to Suess landing to meet up with the kids and spouse at One Fish Two Fish. Then all of you walk to PF and take your ride.
The only problem with doing this, is it's a long walk from PF back to Confiscos Grill where the breakfast will happen. If you are pushing a stroller for each kid, then it will work, otherwise, you'll be dragging them.

I should have mentioned we're staying off property in a villa, so we won't have fotl access, but I bought Power Plus's, so it's not necessary for us to see everything on this trip. We plan to go back in Sept and Jan.

Thanks for the info Mother Fletcher, I guess I'll see how it goes, if we can do some of Seuss Landing in the morning then I'll stick with this plan, if not we'll do it counter clockwise.

If I don't have a plan, dh and ds will start zig zagging, running to do whatever looks "cool" first. LOL.

Thanks!!!!

Great idea, 8:00!, no stroller, one very energetic 5 yr old who will be running ahead of us and hard to keep up with, no problem there, LOL, but it does look like a long walk. Maybe we'll just ride Spiderman together and then we'll see how much we can do at Seuss Landing before the breakfast and not worry about PF. I'll see how excited ds is about PF. Thanks!!!!

When I was there, Jurassic Park section did not open up until a little while after the front sections of the park. You might want to do Spidey, Seuss, breakfast, then PF.

When the kids were 5-10 I made up an itinerary and went over it with them. I'd ask them where we needed to go next. If I didn't do this we would have spent all day at diversions like the JP playground. We have been there enough that if they want to spend an hour or two just sitting in the park watching squirrels I don't mind. But my son still remembers experiencing 26 attractions, including Fantasy Land, on Memorial Day when he was 5.

Not too bad. We had early entry. We did it smart for that age and left at noon and he slept hard for 3 hours and then we went back and closed the park at midnight! Kids are way more fun when they aren't exhausted!

My advice is to try and get to PF's before breakfast. Lines do get long quickly there, and it's a neat enough ride to make the walk for.

Also, we were there twice last year with my 2 DS's- one age 7, the other age 5. Both loved Jurassic Park- we rode it many times, but they were terrified with Poseidon's Fury and refused to go see it again on our return trip. That is the one attraction that freaked them out- and they loved Mummy. Go figure, but you may want to keep it in mind! I think it's because you walk thru the attraction- you aren't strapped in a ride, so it seemed much more "real" to them. Anyway, just a heads up - all kids are different! :earsboy:

So, you think it's worth it. I just reread the description in Kelly's book, and it does sound like ds would love it. I might just have to see how ds and dh's mood is when we get there. It's not always fun to be the commander in chief, LOL.

You're talking about the river ride? I think ds will like it and do fine with it, do you ride together?

Thanks for the info on Poseidon's Fury, that's one I wasn't worried about, LOL. You're right about how you never know. DS LOVED AK's It's Tough to be a Bug at 2 1/2, but he was terrified at 3, LOL. I thought you had to be 48" to ride Mummy, ds will have just turned 5 when we go, and he's only about 42" but he really wants to ride it? (They compare it to Thunder Mountain, which he rode 5 times in a row last January, so I'm not sure why you have to be taller for it.)

Thanks a bunch!!!...it's great to have an opinion from someone with boys the same age.

oops, really messed up on the quotes, sorry!
