Yes, Santa always wraps gifts...and yes, he uses different wrapping paper than we use on our gifts to the family. ;)

Santa won't be wrapping gifts for my boys. That is how I figured it out. Daddy and Santa not onlu used the same paper but had the same handwriting. :(

We didn't have wrapped Santa presents growing up but I have always wrapped my children's Santa gifts. Each of the kids have their own special wrapping paper every year.I love opening gifts and they do too.

At our house it was a combination. Our big gifts from Santa were always unwrapped and laid out, but there were always at least a few from Santa that were wrapped in different paper (I think the gifts that were easy to wrap, like books!). We only got one gift from our parents, and that was always wrapped like the gifts to the rest of the family.

Count me in the always wrapped, and never heard of it not being wrapped.

Santa doesn't wrap at our house... He doesn't leave the "big" presents, he only fills the stockings... Mommy and Daddy buy and wrap the presents under the tree...

We do the same. Santa wraps a few and sets up the rest.

Think of it like this... would you give a kid a bday present unwrapped? Gosh that wouldn't be fun at all. My DD won't let me use bags either for her friends, because they just aren't as FUN to open.

Santa not only wraps presents, he wraps a lot of the stuff in the stocking AND Santa hide presents!! Oh and the stockings are soo stuffed they have to be put on the couch as there is no holder that can handle the weight. Sometimes with clues to search all over the house and sometimes with a string leading to a closet where a big present is... NOW thats fun! I take after my Mom 100% for Christmas and these things did for us always stayed with me :) Hopefully to be carried down to my kids. I think so since they ALWAYS beg for Santa to hide something!

Santa always wrapped presents, but I never noticed the wrapping paper. I bet my parents used the same.... I'll have to remember that next year :)

All presents are wrapped by his elves and Santa delivers them. They are wrapped in there own special wrapping paper and signed To: and From: in a different handwriting than Mommy and Daddy. ;) I also have never heard of Santa bringing gifts that weren't wrapped.

Never heard of the presents not being wrapped? Isn't most of the fun for us parents watching the kids unwrap and seeing the look on their face??? At least it is for me. Santa brings wrapped stocking gifts too. I know it's a lot of work for the elves but it's part of my joy at Christmas.

This year I have a little problem...my younger two kids are now old enough to realize Santa really came in the night....but due to my custody arrangement....this is the year my older two kids don't come home until noon on Christmas day. I'm not sure how to handle that with the little ones. Maybe let them open a gift before hand??

My mom writes just like the Easter Bunny. ;) Santa uses computer printed labels at our house.

Santa only leaves one gift per child at our house and they are wrapped.

All the gifts under the tree and in the stocking are from Santa, and wrapped, in our house. DD5 believes all presents come from Santa - I love to watch her face as she unwraps them!

I never heard of Santa not wrapping the presents until just recently.

And, the rule in our house growing up was, you could open the gifts in your stocking, but had to wait until mom and dad were up and had some caffeine in them to start on the gifts under the tree :rotfl:

Santa wraps gifts here, although last year he left them unwrapped and set up by the fireplace. He must have run out of special paper, this year hopefully Santa will be better prepared.

When nt husband was little, Santa gifts were just out, not wrapped. That just seeems totally un-fun to me. At our house, Santa wrapps and usually uses 1 type of paper. But we have also noticed that Santa has cut back and brings 2-3 gifts each and a family game usually.

kimmikayb....... We have a split custody arrangement at our home too. What used to happen was 1 parent had the boys Christmas eve, then the other parent would come over Christmas morning to open gifts together and have breakfast. Then the other parent would take the kids back home for the day. Now, usually dad have them on the eve and drops them off in the morning. Santa always came to both homes, and I know he still comes to mine, no matter what.

We switch off too....this is the year they don't come home until noon. But my younger two (with my DH at home) are at the age they'll want to get up early....but how will I keep them occupied until noon??? That is a loooongggg wait for a 5 and 3 year old.

Growing up Santa never wrapped my presents, but when my kids were younger, he did! And he used special Santa paper. He still wraps the stocking gifts. :teeth:

Until a few years ago I had no idea that Santa wraps gifts in a lot of houses. I guess when I was growing up I never discussed with my friends how Santa brought things, only that he did.

Santa did not wrap gifts in my family or in DH's family. So he doesn't wrap them in ours either. Like other posters have said, Santa brings big things that need to be put together and he sets everything up so that it is ready to be played with when we wake up.

I love the idea of the hidden presents! I think Santa might hide a few in our house this year. :goodvibes

Not only does santa or his elves wrap we never know which elf is going to sign for Santa. Mom also gets what is leftover on the Santa roll for use next year. That's probably why we have enough wrapping paper to last til kingdom come!!
