Oh Santa always wrapped our presents! and my daughters. And he always used the same paper every year of my daughters life. That's how she knew it was from Santa. No tag necessary! ;)

Santa wraps in our house too. My kids get up way earlier than I care to think about, especially on Christmas. I want to see their expressions when they open their gifts. The only ones they are aloud to open before Mom and Dad get up are the stockings. This usually keeps them occupied and buys mom and dad a little more sleep time.

I also discovered Santa because I found the special paper he used in our basement. Santa has gotten way sneakier now a days. I'm pretty sure he had penmanship like my mom's but didn't really pay that close attention at that age. Santa has gotten high-tech now and uses the computer.

We only get Santa gifts at my house and every one is wrapped in special paper. Plus the one "great" gift is wrapped in gold foil paper. This year DD's are each getting a camcorder :thumbsup2

Santa won't be wrapping gifts for my boys. That is how I figured it out. Daddy and Santa not onlu used the same paper but had the same handwriting. :(
Here too. :( When I realized Santa wrote just like Dad, I figured it out.

Even though we have all adults in my house Santa still wraps gifts. But Santa no longer signs them, Mom & Dad do. When dad wraps, even the stocking stuffers are wrapped. I remember maybe 10 years ago I had received a bunch of lego people as a gift. Each little lego person was wrapped individually.

I remember seeing this thread last year and it was the first time I ever heard of Santa leaving unwrapped gifts.

Santa always wraps here and uses special paper...my DS is older now (8) so I have to be careful writing the labels...may I will type them like others do.

I also like the idea here about the sack that Santa leaves...I would wrap things in there as well.

Like many others, I had not heard of not wrapping (or wrapping) until last year when a coworker brought it up.

Of course Santa doesn't wrap gifts - that's what elves are for.

Personally, I've never even heard of Santa's gifts not being wrapped, but judging by this thead I guess it's not uncommon.

Haha! That is exactly what I thought when I read the original post! I was going to say the exact same thing.

Unwraping is half the fun!

AND...I am the freak who LOVES! wrapping gifts! I think I wrap every present that anayone gets around here...hundreds of gifts to wrap when you're doing every member of your extended family and friends!

Every thing I've ever gotten for Christmas on Christmas morning has come from Santa. I didn't get gifts from my parents but Santa sure did love me, let me tell you that! Christmas was more once a year spoiling!

No, Santa never wrapped.

Most of the gifts come from Mom & Dad...those are all wrapped. But the BIG gift, one or two regular gifts, and the stocking came from Santa. He didn't wrap his stuff, just dropped it off.

Amazingly enough, most of the hard-to-wrap stuff came from Santa. :teeth:

My mom writes just like the Easter Bunny. ;) Santa uses computer printed labels at our house.
What a great idea! lol MY FIL's family used to hide gifts...I am thinking of doing that.

Okay, please help settle a debate I have been having with my friends. Does Santa wrap the gifts in your house? He never did for my house - set up the presents so that we were able to just run into the living room and see everything that could be played with right then and there. I was just wondering what he did for majority of the people of the DIS.

Same here. Santa always left one "big" present for each of us, unwrapped under the tree. Whether it was a bike, playstation, etc... Everything else was wrapped and from my parents.

I've continued this tradition with DS, 3. This year Santa told me he's bringing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with all the accessories ;) Oh...and a play shopping cart filled with play groceries....because it's too big to wrap :rotfl:

ETA~Stockings get filled by Santa also :)

In our house everything comes from Santa except the couple presents our kids give each other/parents so it would be a silly looking tree here ;)
Nothing goes under the tree until everyones asleep on Christmas eve...including DH  he says next year I'll stay up but alas next year comes and he just can't manage to stay awake - it's his job to get the kids asleep and next thing ya know it all 3 kids (dh is 1) are fast asleep :rotfl2:

I had to ask my mom about this one!! ROFL!! Because our Santa gifts were NEVER wrapped. I had no clue why...so I asked her. Her answer, Santa gifts aren't wrapped because if you watch some of the holiday specials & things...you SEE the toys in Santa's sack, you'll see a teddy bear or dolly sticking out of the sack, not just wrapped presents. I never thought about it but she's right!

I asked because someone was talking about how Santa uses different wrapping paper & I never gave it a thought because Santa never wrapped them. Besides that would slow him down in delivery, making sure he got the right presents for the right person in the right spot. If he can see them, he would know the skates were for Suzie and the sleigh was for Johnny. ;)

NOW...in the house I grew up in, it was really easy to deal with, we had french doors in the living room & those were closed on Christmas morning. You didn't DARE open those doors until everyone was awake, so you could eat breakfast, etc... before the doors were open.

In our house, we don't have that luxury -- we have a loft, originally where we had our tree all the child had to do was look over the railing & would have been able to see what they got even before me getting up. That wouldn't have been any fun for ME....so Santa wraps gifts here.

Although they each have a "spot" on the couch/love seat where there stockigns are/their annual book & the Santa gift is located at. All other gifts are under the tree. Santa has been known to use the same paper as we do.

IF I had a house like the one I grew up in, Santa would leave his presents unwrapped.

Santa wraps the gifts that are able to be wrapped (not too big) in paper with a picture of himself. They also have special bows and special tags with Santa's handwriting on it. ;)

We help out Santa by bringing our gift tags to work all on the same day, and several of us fill out another person's tags. That way the writing never looks like Mom or Dad's!

Santa uses special paper at our house. Santa's paper always has a picture of him on it. The paper from Mom & Dad never has Santa on it... that's Santa's paper!

Santa gifts were always wrapped in our house and in special paper. Actually, they still are. I'm 32 but I still get a few small gifts from Santa when I go to my moms house on Christmas. She didn't stop hiding my Easter basket until a few years ago when I started having my family over my house for Easter.

Santa wraps our presents.. a different wrapping paper for everyone(well, our parents usually get the same one) and even a different paper if it's meant for my sister and I or the whole family or something... then parent gifts use a different paper.(we have tons!)

There are a few presents left unwrapped - usually pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, etc... and some things get partially covered - especially my brother's huge toys - they're just covered on the side facing out propped up against a bunch of wrapped presents

Maybe I should ellaborate on our Christmas tradition. See, we were not allowed in the living room before my dad "checked it out" basically as one of us woke up, we would go into my parent's room. When all three of us were there, my dad woud then go to let the dog out and to check to make sure Santa was gone. We then got to go out into the living room to see all the toys ready to play at that moment. It was awesome to see Barbie sitting in her car ready to go rather than opening the paper and then the boxes before you could play with it

Oh, and we also had magic Santa dust that we threw outside on Christmas Eve. If we were good, it would turn red and Santa would know to stop. If were misbehaved, it would turn green and Santa would know to keep on going...

Santa does not wrap the presents in our house. He leaves only one present, though (besides the stocking stuff), and it's a "biggie". Last year he left a Thomas train table with a full Thomas train set and extra engines for one son and a new computer for the other, for example. That was a good year. ;)

Santa's always wrapped all of the presents, including stocking stuffers, and still does despite the fact that my brother and I are both over 30. :teeth:

Santa doesn't wrap here! We leave 3 gifts unwrapped, plus the stocking. There is one gift from us, and usually something from the dog and cat. With all of the gifts from relatives, we can barely get near the tree as it is.

Santa used to bring the big gift, but I got tired of spending all the money and not getting any credit, so now the big gift is usually from us.
