HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!
It's very exciting that you are looking at a Disney vacay at Boardwalk for next summer.
I hope you find a good deal.
I don't know anything about buying points. I may need to learn from you.
Thank you! I am looking forward to planning this vacation! It will be lots of fun, I am sure!

Happy belated birthday Jackie! That cake looks delicious! And Disney plans! Super exciting!! I bet 4th of July is a great time to visit!
Thank you, Stacy! The cake was very tasty! I am excited about a return to Disney. Who knew that skipping a year would make it seem like forever since we went?
I hope you had a really great birthday Jackie.
I think you made a great choice! That firework photo around the castle is gorgeous. I have toyed with the idea of a summer trip but I'm just not sure I could handle the heat and crowds. Since you are a teacher, I bet you just make the best of it. Morghan is in 7th grade this year and I don't really like taking her out of school too much anymore. These kids have a lot of responsibility! I'm glad Miss Chelsea seems okay with going back to Disney. Not like she has too much choice though I suppose.
One day when I retire from teaching, I plan on only traveling during the off-season.
Have you read any reviews of David's DVC rentals? I have looked around on his website but just am not too sure. You have to pay it all up front and I guess I like Disney's cancellation policy a little better.
That's the one thing I am not crazy about -- no cancellations or you lose your money, and it is all due up front. I really am not a fan of that.
I havent signed on in a while.... so...happy belated bday & congrats on choosing dates! The only time I stayed at BW was in a villa with rented points. My only advice- research the room numbers because those hallways are LONG and its a pain to get one of the last rooms and have to walk allllll the way to the elevators. The pool is a bit creepy BUT the slide is SO worth it!
Thank you, Kat! Good advice on the Boardwalk -- I will definitely remember that!
Jackie can't come out and play on school days?
Just checking in to see how the GA gang is doing.
Sadly, the past two weeks were crazy busy everywhere I turned -- tons of stuff due for my specialist degree classes -- the kids were completely wired and bouncing off the walls -- a to-do list that never seemed to get shorter. Luckily, I am now able to relax for a few days.
Great choice Jackie!! We really enjoyed BWV last week. Zach thought he'd be freaked about by the clown pool but he loved it!
Yeay! I am so glad you liked it there! I am looking forward to reading all about!
How sad....poor thing! All work and no play on the DIS...I can relate.
Yes, it is sad. I was missing my time in DIS town!
Yay for fourth of July in Disney! That's sure to be a great time.
I'm so wanting to snag a piece of that cake, btw. It looks divine.
I think the clown question is perfectly legitimate. I actually am not afraid of clowns, but the Boardwalk one does creep me out a little bit. Not sure why.
I would have gladly shared some cake with you, Kat!
Maybe it is his gaping mouth. He is slightly freaky!
Hey Jackie...finally all caught up!
Love the Halloween/fall photos of the family. Laughing because it sounded just like my family as far as photos as concerned...there always has to be drama involved.
Hi, Trish! I always have visions of a picture-perfect outing, and it just never quite happens like that.
Happy belated Birthday!

So glad you liked the gifts....so great to see that post!
I did! Thank you!
Funny, but your vacation wish list sounds an awful lot like mine. If only the rest of our families saw things just the way we do, right?
It would make things much easier. LOL!
Not sure if you found someone to rent points from, but it is an absolutely excellent option. I highly recommend it! We have rented 4 times now, and all have gone very smoothly. I have also used David's for 2 of those occasions. If you can't find someone else, as you say, he is a better option than paying Disney prices for a mod, and provides a little more peace of mind on the scamming front because he holds back 1/2 the price from the renter until the day of check-in.
Good to know -- I do like knowing he holds some of the money back from the renter.
All of that said, if you are still looking for someone from whom to rent, drop me a line. I may have some points to rent myself.
Happy Planning!
I may be dropping you a line!
Jackie, I have been missing from your PTR/Tybee TR since September and just finally caught up.
I want to say how sorry I am for you and your family for the death of your mom.

Your Tybee trip looks like it was just right - relaxing, a nice get away, good family time... Not Disney but a nice vacation! The pictures are lovely and the turtle races are funny!
And happy belated birthday as well!
Thank you so much for both the sympathy and the birthday wishes.

We had a lot of fun on Tybee and will definitely be back at some point.

I laughed loud when I read this. We were totally keen on renting Boardwalk points until I saw the pool. then I knew that there was NO WAY that DH would go there. and my BFF also was very down on the clown. they just plain hate clowns. funny!!!!
yay yay for

for a July 12 trip. my furry house guests are gone now (well, til Wednesday for Thanksgiving holiday!) so hopefully I will not be so behind on my subs!
Charles may have looked at me like I was completely off my rocker, but I knew I was onto something. LOL!
