My guys are beginning to want to go other places as well!!!!

I want to go other places, too, but I want to go in addition to our Disney trips, not instead of them. Therein lies a problem.

Jackie, do you let your friends get away with calling people names on your reports???
I've got some folks calling me black kettlepots or something...

I still remember an innocent little thing planning her first trip to WDW in 2009. I happened across a little site called the Disboards and the rest is history!! I have now been 5 times since then!! I have informed my husband we will have two trips to WDW per year. No questions. What has happened to poor innocent me? Oh yeah, I have the DISease!!!

I must say that I blame my obsession in part on MeMom. If she did not go so often, then I would not constantly read her trip reports and want to go more!!

I know! And you would think that with all her years of experience teaching that Mrs. Jackie knows not to leave her classroom unattended while taking a bathroom break. If she doesn't get back in here soon, I think she's going to have a full fledged spitball fight on her hands! Looking forward to reading all about it Jackie! Both Tybee and the future Disney trip! I loved seeing pics of Chelsea and Connor through the years! It's hard to believe how much they have grown - where does the time go???

As for DIS-enabled trips...no, not me....and it didn't make me make a career change either. Nope.



Riiiiiiiiiight. Found the DIS prior to our honeymoon - our first trip.

We bought DVC by our second trip! Didn't take too long to drink THAT Kool-Aid!

I did have about a year off the DIS when Henry was born - but, the seed had already been planted. When we got a PIN code in the mail I was back on the DIS like a flash and dove right in....the rest is history! (and despite our constant empty pocketbooks, it's okay-I love it!)

Just trying to count the trips since joining the DIS in June 2008 makes my head spin! I'm thinking maybe a dozen?
Then there's the DIS induced DVC addonitis...

I'll just say joining the DIS has changed my life. Oh yes for the better! I have made some good friends. Perhaps I'm a bit "focused" on a certain topic, but we don't own a boat that we pour money into, or a cabin that we go to every weekend and spend countless hours working to maintain. We just have our love of a certain mouse, the magic and the attention to detail we find on every trip!

My immunity was down because I was at home sick that faithful day back in 2008 when I stumbled upon this site.

I havn't been able to make as many trips as y'all have but I am working on catching up...
One day I hope to be in the class of several trip a year!

You couldn't pay me enough for a cure and give up the DIS! I love all of the friends I have met on here!

Whooo Hooo, this is going to be fun!!! Can;t wait to read about the beach!! We are going in 2 weeks but the beach in Oregon is not the same....... I am in the minority, I found the DIS and then went on my first cruise and then the World. I have been 5 times since May 2009 and own DVC

EXACTLY! We have a lot of people here in MN that have cabins and boats (all those lakes you know) and spend every weekend working on them! That does not sound fun to me! When we go to WDW, DH says we're going to the cabin!
Plus we don't smoke, gamble or drink (well, DH doesn't drink) so we have more Disney money!!!

Now that DVC business - if DH had known about the resale market before last year, we'd have drank that kool-aid a long time ago!! DIS induced addonitis, indeed - Wigd, the queen of DVC addonitis enabling!!!

Now what I need is for someone to tell me about a nice cheap airline that will get me from MN to WDW for less than 200 RT with no luggage fees. Anyone???

Well said. I love a place that I can go to and feel safe and entertained. I can go alone or with friends, new or old and feel like I don't have a care in the world.
