Does photopass put 'extras' on the photos?

I know they stopped back in the spring/summer, but have they started it up again?

photopass was on my list of items to buy but part of the charm was the fact that we could add in tinkerbell here or 'magic kingdom' there etc.

I didn't know they had stopped! If you look below in my signature, you can see my Stitch add in! They did this for us in May of this year. Makes me sad that they would stop. They charge you enough for that stuff they should keep doing it!

They didn't add anything to our photos in October. The only thing added was in the Halloween Party photos - a ghost sitting in the seat of the hearse in front of the HM..... Nothing else.

The ghost for the hearse is automatically added but the rest of the stuff you add yourself when you look at the pics online. Choose "borders" and it will give you choices to add. They had a special Not So Scary border for the Halloween pics. It was really cool. Usually, they have some Christmas ones around December. They did last year. If you're looking at them at the park just ask the CM b/c they have the same options as online.

if you buy it at the parks there are no add ons. The stopped letting you choose borders. It took too long for the CMs to process them. When we went in October, a Photopass CM said they are thinking about coming up with a software package to sell where you could do the additions at home. Until then no additions in the parks.

The way I understand it is this (online version only since I didnt buy at the parks) You can go in and add borders and extras and order PRINTS with them on it. But if you buy the CD, there are no extras- Just pics

When we were there in Oct, had many photopass shots taken...not a Tink, Stitch, Simba in sight!!! That was the first time that happened. We missed it. But, when you order the prints on-line, you can add some touches, just not the Tinks and Stitches.

you can add logos borders signatures and crop and arange your photos online, they did away with the add in characters.

i posted on the budget and photography board aout a YOAMD design I copied that would work for prints of any size. I know other people have posted links to Disney borders you can use for you photos. I'll do a search and post what I find.

Yes, Photopass photos can have extras added to it by Disney (Simba, Tink, Stitch or the ghost at MNSSHP) or you can add borders and siggies yourself from the comfort of your home.

BUT

No, you cannot add any borders/siggies or any other enhancements to the Photopass CD photos. There are conflicting reports though on whether the Tink/Stitch/Simba enhancement is appearing on the CD or not. I've heard it is but some have not had it appear on their photos.

During our 8 day stay nov 4-11 and 179 photopass photos later, we never had anyone pose us for a Tink or Stitch in the hand picture. We only saw one photopass person do this and it was probably at the persons request while we were there.

Also noticed that the photopass collection areas were empty most of the time and would only have one photopass person on staff.

We ended up with the CD

ok thanks everyone!
the cd is still the better buy there are 4 of us adults, and we all plan on chipping in $25 to share the cd. unlimited pics each and at a size of our choosing for $25 rather than howevermuch it is for 1 pic from on line. (maybe we are crazy ! i dunno! )

sigh. hoping for the borders, but c'est la vie! thanks!
