"Does Peter have to come to Disney with Us???"

Ok, I am now officially on my 15 minute afternoon break, so I need to get the important task of getting my itinerary out to you guys.......

Thurs 23rd
flying into Orlando & settling in at the ASMu
DTD
4pm or so ADR's to Planet Hollywood TS
Characters in Flight???
Just looking around/shopping etc.

Friday 24th
EPCOT DAY 9am (EMH 9PM - 12AM) concentrate on Future World
* Janine will be here on this day, too!
get there by rope drop (hopefully)
Soarin for standby and GAD FP for later
Nemo & Friends for standby
Mission Space GAD FP (2)
Universe of Energy for standby
Test Track GAD FP
should be time for FP at Soarin if not then lunch CS
Imagination
World Showcase
Japan to Pick a Pearl
Maelstrom (Norway) GAD FP
possible break back to hotel???
dinner ADR's at Coral Reef or Le Cellier 5pm or so
Illuminations at 9pm (possible cruise??)

Now, it doesn't have Illuminations listed on that day, but there are EMH in the evening. Wouldn't it make sense that they would have Illuminations that everning? Hmmm.....

This is my plan, but of course, it's very subject to change if anyone wants an afternoon break. I don't intend to stay much later than 9pm, but who knows. What does everyone think??? We have another day at Epcot, so whatever doesn't get done on this day will be done on that one. I'm hoping for an Illuminations cruise if I can find one to hijack!!!!

Yes, Illuminations should be at 9pm (they wouldn't have it later b/c then people who cannot attend EMH wouldn't get to see it!). You could take a mid-day break if anyone needs to and then go back and stay later too b/c of EMH! :)

Just a heads up that Characters in Flight only operates from 8 am to noon. If you want to do it you'll have to go back to DTD another day in the morning- and if weather conditions aren't just right they'll stop it.

btw, Sneaky, sneaky using the old 'going home to check on my sick child' routine so you could get your planner. :rolleyes1

I hope she feels better soon!

See Hope....this is why I have you here........to advise me on important things such as the Character in Flight times......I guess I overlooked that one. Oooops. :confused3

And yes, I do have a bag of excuses I use to go home. It's amazing what I can come up with!!!! :lmao:

Woo Hoo Ann!!! We will be in Epcot the same day!!!!

FYI- have you ever done Mission: Space before? Just a word of advice, there are two tracks to choose from, the intense track (which I think is the orange track) and the less intense track (which I think is the green track). I have only been on the intense track, and I will NEVER go on it again. If you get any type of motion sickness (which I usually do not get), and they will repeat this over and over throughout your wait, I would advise to DO NOT RIDE THIS RIDE!!!!!! Afterall, this is the ONLY ride I have ever been on that is equipped with barf bags !!!!!!! Imagine the Alice and Wonderland teacups times 50!!!!!!! I would definitely do the less intese track if it were my first time, even though I know people who got sick on that too!!

Thanks for the advice, Janine, but Victoria and I are old experts at the "orange" experience....over and over and over again!!! That child of mine would stay on the entire day if I'd let her!!!!

I’ve now started working on my touring plans for HS (Saturday, Sep 25th)

EDITING.....EDITING.....EDITING.....

OK, SOMEONE COULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT WASN'T GOING TO WORK OUT!!! OK, FINE.....IT'S MY ITINERARY AND MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE IT WORK.....

HERE IS THE EDITED VERSION:

Arrive for EMH 8am to 9am
Beat Pam & her family to TSM
Ride standby & pick up GAD FP for later
Rock n Rollercoaster GAD FP
Tower of Terror GAD FP
Star Tours GAD FP
Voyage of the Little Mermaid GAD FP
possibly Great Movie Ride depending on time
CS lunch somewhere in here
Lights, Camera, Action @ 1:20pm GAD FP
Block Party parade @ 3pm
Sci Fi ADR’s around 5pm

My problem with the previous tour plan was that I wasn't utilizing the GAD FP to my full benefit. This version has all the rides/shows that use the GAD FP in one day. I know it's a bit of backtracking, but I just don't see any way around that. My second day at HS will have my Fantasmic dinner package at 6pm. It will also include the B & B show, Indiana Jones show, Muppets, Backlot Tour, etc. Yeah, I like this version better.

Can someone tell me why Lights, Camera, Action has a fast pass? Are you able to get into the show earlier? A seperate entrance to better seating? I just can't see why it would be, unless for those reasons. Maybe I'm just too overtired at this point?

I’ve also signed up Peter to do a GAD, so we will have 3 park days of GAD Fast Passes. This particular HS day will not be one of them, whereas the 24th EPCOT day will be to take advantage of them since most of the day will be concentrating on Future World.

I also wanted to share the pin I am buying for Peter……..See, Victoria and I both have pins with our names on our lanyards. We have princesses. I have a lanyard for Peter already. Well I just got this one online for Peter…….I hope he will love it!!! Mine says Mama

Ok, so maybe beating Pam and her family is a bit ambitious. I bet I'm a good 75lbs heavier than her, so that may be an issue.......I'll try!! :rotfl2:

I haven't thought about the CS for lunch yet. I figure I have plenty of time to come up with something. I have eaten at the Backlot Express and the Commissary and didn't think it was all that bad, so we'll see. I still have some days that it doesn't matter what I eat --- my lap band will make me not keep it down. What a waste of food!! Oh, I just thought about it --- we'll probably eat at Pizza Planet! I just love that place -- more for the surroundings than the food. I know there are some other places, but I kind of wanted to stay on the western (if it is West :confused3) side of the park for this day. We will be doing Fantasmic the following day, so we'll be on the other side then. On that day I will definitely be using the GAD FP's for ToT, RnR etc. That will be a later arrival time, but still by 11am. My plans aren't set in stone, either. If we need to take a break and go for a swim, we can. Without PH we just have to come back to the same park. I know it's alot to fit in, but I think it's doable. I had never taken an afternoon break before, so that would be a treat! Do you think I have the timing down right with the shows/parades?

I was glad to read your post about maybe postponing your trip. Just stay positive and remember it's now March.....usually by now any snow that does fall melts pretty quickly, so it won't be long that the Spring bulbs will be up! My older brother suffers from SAD, so I've seen how tough this time of the year can be. We'll be changing the clocks ahead this month, too, so that should help. Hang in there! You've always got us Dis'ers!!!

I think your plan looks good! You'll have another day, so if for some reason you don't do everything you want, you can do it on your 2nd DHS day! We ate at Pizza Planet on our first trip with friends and although the food wasn't great, it was a fun atmosphere! :)

I sat in the sun today at playgroup at the park and then again on the back deck when I got home. The birds were singing and it SMELLED like spring! It really made my day. It's funny how the weather and seasons affect me. Maybe Rey is right and we need to move to Florida! ;)

Ok, I'll bite......

what are Our Wishes, No Thank Yous and Sprinkles lists?????

Our Wishes, No Thank Yous and Sprinkles: are you reading along on my PTR? I posted these lists for two of the parks but I still have DHS and AK I believe. They are essentially a way I am going through and thinking about what we would like to do (Our Wishes), things we will pass (No Thank Yous) and the extra things should time permit (Sprinkles).

typically Illuminations is every night--it is rare when it is not showing. CR--We really enjoy and Le Cellier is good too. :goodvibes

DHS: beat Pam and her family to TSM :lmao:

cute pin for Peter!

oh no.....I've been found out.......I'm slacking on reading everyone's ptr!!! I get an email notification and go right to the last posts.........I haven't been taking the time to read them. I will work on that!!! :sad2:

Thank you for your opinion of my pin for Peter. I thought it would be really special for Victoria to give it to him on our first day there. :)

Let me know what you all think!!!

WEDDING STUFF: Ok, so I've been playing around with an idea and wanted to see what you guys think. I'm making my own invitations, as you all probably know. I hadn't decided on what to do for the RSVP cards. I've been playing around with this idea: I know I want to do postcard RSVP cards, but I wasn't sure on the design, etc. There is postcard paper and a program from Avery that I was thinking about getting. Now, I have saved a bunch of Disney photos from the Disboards etc and I was thinking if I used those as the postcards, then it won't be a waste because I can turn around and use those in the scrapbook. I know it's very non-conventional, but so is this entire wedding, so what the heck, right?! I haven't decided on it yet, but the idea is out there. Any comments????

I was also thinking of putting these entries I've made on this ptr into the scrapbook. That way I can remember this whole process in how I get there from here. Am I crazy?

I think it's a great idea Ann! Hope & I were just talking about weddings tonight and how we would have done things differently if we weren't thinking so IN the box when we were younger. I think you should do what YOU want to do! All of your ideas have been every unique so far and I think that is wonderful! :goodvibes

I don't think that's crazy at all Ann! I think you should do what will make this YOUR day! :lovestruc

oh no.....I've been found out.......I'm slacking on reading everyone's ptr!!! I get an email notification and go right to the last posts.........I haven't been taking the time to read them. I will work on that!!! :sad2:

Thank you for your opinion of my pin for Peter. I thought it would be really special for Victoria to give it to him on our first day there. :)

:lmao: you're fine--I get behind on TRs and PTRs and catch up when I can. Like right now, I have a little bit of time at the hotel and I am trying to get motivated to go get lunch but I am dragging. So, I am here on DIS instead. :disrocks:

ooohhh you are doing the H&V F! package--I will be interested in what you think. We are shooting for MM but H&V is our backup.

So Victoria is a dare devil then--sounds like she will have a blast on all the thrill rides. Has she ridden any in past?

Are you incorporating Disney into any other wedding plans? Even if you are not, it is uniquely you so that is what is important IMO.

Something I thought of with your postcard idea- since you'll be getting them back as RSVPs you'll have a little bit of Disney magic in your mailbox on a regular basis. :goodvibes

I never thought of it that way, Hope, but that's an awesome thought!! Ahhh... Disney in my mailbox......nothing is better than that!!!!

OMG!!! It's funny because there are some rides she loves but yet she states she's afraid of the TOT and RnR. We'll see. I bet she'll ride on them once we are there. Peter, on the other hand.....I think he'll probably look like this !!! :lmao:
