Does our whole party need the same ticket package?

We are going with free dining in September and our package is already purchased. Right now I have 4 day park tickets for all of us (me, my husband and our two girls). Would it be possible to purchase an additional park day just for my husband? So he would have 5 day tickets and the rest of us would have 4 day tickets? Or does the whole party need to have the same ticket package?

He is planning to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour one day. I originally thought we would make that one of our Magic Kingdom days, but now I'm thinking I would rather just hang out at the resort that day with my kids. Then we could do Magic Kingdom together as a family on a different day.

Thanks for your help!

Everyone on the package has to have the same ticket, but you can add a fifth day to your husband's ticket when you get there.

If you are talking about dining, I believe the dining plan is tied more to your resort reservation than your tickets. We haven't done free dining, but paid for the dining plan on different tickets.

Whether or not you have the dining plan has nothing to do with tickets. You don't have to have tickets for the same number of days as your reservation, but like I said, everyone on the package has to have the same tickets in terms of number of days, park hopper or not, and WPF&M or not.

Right now before arrival, your group sharing one room has to book the same number of park day tickets. But after you are checked-in, you can upgrade the tickets individually.

This is what we did. Only part of our group wanted park hoppers so we added that after our first day in the parks, a couple of us also added a day or two to our tickets. YOu just have to use your ticket once first.
