Does opting for early check-in affect special room requests?

I will be arriving on WDW property around 11 AM and would love to wash up after being in the airport all morning. I also realize that my room may not be ready until around 3 PM. It would be a a relief to settle down in the room and then wash up before venturing into Epcot for the day.

I'll be making a few room requests on my resort reservation. Does opting for early check-in during the online check-in process affect the likelihood of receiving said requests? They are nothing too specific- just a high floor in a particular group of buildings. I'm checking in on a Monday, if that makes any difference.

What has your experience been with early check-in?

In my experience when I asked for the room to be ready early, most of the time I did not get the other requests. YMMV depending how busy the resort is.

What has your experience been with early check-in?

I’ve never had it interfere with anything I asked for and I have had about 50% success rate for early check-in. But with all that, I usually call the direct line to the resort and ask them to add on a bunch of notes for my needs. Extra towels, higher floor. You are not limited to the things they put on that drop down menu. That’s another place where I wish they were like other hotels. But they will try to accommodate what they can.
Or you could always go to Epcot unfresh . I’ve seen it done before .

Yes any specific requests already on your reservation will be overridden by any "Options" you select during the Online Check-in process. So just don't make any add Options selections when you do the Online Check-in step.

Once you get to the resort your room may be already assigned and available. If not you can always ask if another room that matches some or all of your requests might be ready at 11 AM. Or you could ask for the first available room. They usually have some ready before 11 AM.

Yes it will override it but I think it is worth it. With no more in room luggage delivery, getting a room on arrival to put away your things is really handy.

The check box flat-out says “Please prioritize having my room ready early over receiving one or more of my requests.” (Maybe not exactly words, but close.) So yeah, that would definitely potentially override your other requests.

You can still store luggage at Bell Services and then call when you get back to your room - not a huge deal.

Every time I put in a room request my room is ready at 2-4pm. I only go for short 1 to 3 night stays. I’ve decided having my room ready earlier is more important to me. I now make no room requests and put my arrival time at 7:30am. The last four stays I’ve had my room ready between 7-10am and ready by 12:30 for another . I also think it’s easier for Disney to assign me a room bc my length of stay is short plus no requests. I think if I were staying longer than three days I would make a room request over early check in.

Yes I find when we get early check in we do not get any other requests.
