Tried with no avail to make an ADR at ohana for this labor day weekend. We aren't going to the Disney parks on this trip but wanted to make the drive from universal just to eat at our favorite restaurant. Does anyone know if they can accept walk ins? What do u think our chances are? It's just 2 of us and our times are pretty flexible. We were here last year over labor day and although it was fairly packed, there was definitely some space available late in the night. Thanks in advance! About to board for our flight to MCO for our first trip to WWOHP!

In theory- yes, in reality doubtful. I would keep trying to get an adr but I would not waste the time to go if you are not staying near by. It is the hardest to get ADR probably harder then CRT.

Keep trying, I'm going in Nov and it took me a couple weeks but an ADR finally came up

I think you are going to have a very hard time getting a walk up...in May we were at the Tambu Lounge, right before 4, the line for Ohana was starting to take shape. At 4:30-40 a CM announced there were no walk ins for that night and half the line walked away

Honestly, your chances are slim to none for a walk up. I wouldn't bother if you don't have a reservation.

Keep checking and maybe something will pop up. You might have a better chance to snag a really late reservation. But keep searching. And keep an eye on the September ADR cancellation thread.

Good luck!

The tough part for me would be waiting around for an hour or two getting really hungry and getting turned away. Then what? I wouldn't risk it.:earsboy:

Or, if you really do want to attempt it, would you consider eating somewhere else after making the trip if you can't get in?

Kona Cafe is right next to Ohana and it's actually one of our favorite restaurants along with Ohana. The food there is delicious (especially the desserts) and it's not nearly as hard to get into as Ohana.

We were there a few weeks ago and the waiting area was jam packed...with people who had ADRs. I overheard someone saying they were turning away all walk ups. The dining room never showed any signs of thinning while we were there and the lounge didn't empty out until just before Wishes. You're looking at a holiday weekend, so while it's not impossible and I'd keep trying right up until the very end, I think the chances of getting in are extremely slim.

We were there last September and it was raining really hard so we decided not to go to our Teppan Edo ressies and try our luck as walk ups to Ohana.

We had been trying to book a table there for weeks and had asked on checking into our hotel for any availability but were told there were no openings that week.

We arrived at opening and within 35 minutes we were seated. So it possible. This was during free dining.

We actually also walked up for lunch at Le Cellier without ADRs, and arrived significantly early to several ressies (as in 1 to 1.5 hours early) and never waited for more than 10 or 15 minutes.

Don't give up hope. Like I said all this happened during free dining!

We ended up making an ADR for dinner at Kona for Monday night. We got to the Poly a little early and managed to get a pager for 'Ohana in case of a cancellation and thought we could wait a little while. While we shopped in the Poly, the pager never went off, so we decided, who were, we kidding, we won't be able to eat at 'Ohana tonight. So we had a lovely meal at Kona, and had a great time. We also watched the fireworks from the beach which were fantastic.
Thanks again for the great advice and feedback. I guess I'll just have to wait until our next trip for 'Ohana! Pics will be up in my TR shortly.
