Does more DVC resorts make more units available to rent?

With Disney continuing building more DVC resorts at Disney World, will this open up more availability for those who want to rent points. I am just wondering will the GF DVC units be open by December 2013 and if so will that make more units available at the other resorts at the six or seventh month mark then? Just a thought.

More resorts means more owners and more competition for rooms at 7 months. If the owners who bought HH, VB, VGC, Aulani decide that the want to vacation at WDW, then the competition at 7 months is affected. Same with owners who bought SSR based on price but never intend to stay there.

Also remember that when a new DVC resort opens, not every room at thhe resort is available to DVCers on points. Only those units that have been declared into DVC inventory.

Basically, until sales actually start in a particualr unit, that unit is a cash only unit. For instance, say a resort has 100 units, but only 15 have been declared and had ponts sold...only 15% of the total units at the resort will be avalable for point reservations, the others are cash units through Disney.

So there is never a glut of DVC rooms relative to the number of owners/points that could possibly obtain point reservations.
