We would LOVE to try the french toast loaf and cinammon roll, but don't want to interrupt our morning at the MK to try it. I wondered if they serve these all day, where we could take them back to the resort at night and have them for breakfast the next day???

Unfortunately, no they don't serve breakfast all day :sad2: You can get the cinnamon rolls all day and we have gotten those as we left the park for breakfast the next day, but they looked at me as if I had 3 heads when I asked if they had the french toast loaf still :upsidedow

What exactly is a french toast loaf? I have never had anything for breakfast from the parks and that sounds like something I want to try just from the name.

P.S. I'm from Ohio too!!! I'm about 50 miles east of Columbus. What part are you from?

I have never tried it, just saw a picture in the food porn thread. It looks like a brick of fried french toast heaven!!!

We are down by Cincinnati.

It's delicious! It's a thick slab of gooey french toast with powdered sugar and maple syrup.

I'm also from Ohio! I'm 100 miles from Columbus. Close to WV. :)

Yes they do. Well at least cinnamon rolls! I always get them on our way out at night and eat them the next morning!

ETA: I can't help much with the OP's question. I have no idea about later in the day!

The French Toast Loaf is not fried, I think it's baked. Once you pour the syrup on top it's easier to eat with a knife and fork. My DS5 doesn't like breakfast pastries and this tastes exactly like traditional french toast.

The French Toast Loaf is usually gone by 11am. Somedays much earlier. They only make a limited amount each day.

We arrived in MK for EMH-AM at 8am, went straight to Fantasy Land then headed to the Bake Shop at about 9:30 am. The line was out the door but went pretty fast. I was really worried about them running out of the french toast loaf (my son wouldn't have eaten anything else) but we were lucky and got a piece. We were also lucky to get a table inside, I think the majority of people take their food to go.

As for bringing stuff back to your room, I've read posts that the cinnamon rolls are the freshest in the mornings. Unless you know you're getting a fresh tray midday, I wouldn't save it for the next morning. I believe they bake fresh cinnamon rolls thru out the day, so just ask for a fresh one. (Many people have posted about stale cinnamon rolls on off hours) We have brought back slices of chocolate cake and carrot cake to have dessert on our balcony in the evenings and those were both delicious.

Cinnamon rolls, slices of cakes, muffins and danishes are all considered a SNACK item on the DDP.

You cannot compare the Main St Bakery to Boardwalk Bakery, Main St is SO MUCH BETTER! :thumbsup2
