Does it really take up to 30 days? Updated 4/27-We're in!

i was transferred to member services, and with the member # MS gave me the activation code. It actually didn't work at first, and with my Disney account she activated it remotely. Perhaps try again with Member Services?
What option did you choose with Member Services?
 
I just got off the phone. I went through Member Admin and was given my Member ID and Club ID....she then transferred me to Member Services where they gave me my Activation Code. My contract was recorded 04/12. Tonight is going to be fun!! :)

You are probably actually getting through to Member Services despite selecting Member Administration as MS handles the calls if Admin is busy and Admin is a small department so it happens quite regularly. In my experience, when you actually get to Admin, they are extremely helpful and will work with you and provide you everything you need. Unfortunately when you call in you have no way of knowing what department you are getting connected to. My easel too was recorded on 4/12 and I had my member ID and was able to book my October stay last Friday and get logged into the site on Saturday morning.
 
It would be nice if there was consistency across the board with how they handle new memberships. They were very nice when speaking with me and there was no hesitation in setting things up.

Member Administration has been very helpful. They gave me my Membership ID#, and Club ID# this morning. They transfer me to Services for the activation code and no one will help me there.

Well I started calling exactly at 9, and I can't get through. Busy signal every time I call. Ugh!!!
 
I think booking opened for CC today. It may be tough to get through or even past MS.

That would be my luck! Oh well, I'll just have to keep trying. Seriously though, you shouldn't get a busy signal, just let people be put on hold, or at least ring through to MA. That has nothing to do with booking CC.

Today Copper Creek opened to all nonowners for bookings, and the DVC site was scheduled to be down til 9am est. My guess is that is why it's so busy.
 
I got through (option 3) and found out my deed transferred just today (recorded on 4/14). I did not ask to be transferred to MS since I know they are slammed this morning. I'll try later this afternoon. But, one step closer!

Update - I did get through to MS (option 6 gets you to website assistance) but alas the deed transfer information had not propagated through the system enough to generate my activation code. May try again this afternoon.

Latest update - I just called again. Everyone has been very helpful today. But, it does look like the system needs a night to process the data once the deed transfer takes place. I was able to get my Club ID and Member # today, but still no generated Activation Code. The last CM I spoke with did mention that I should get an email when that is ready. I'll call again in the morning. Hopefully, this little journey will be complete tomorrow.
 
I love checking this and seeing that people are making progress. Throughout the entire process of buying resale, it's been fun to use DISboards as a tool for engaging with other buyers- from the ROFR board to Estoppel til now! Makes me very excited to join such a helpful and kind "Neighborhood"!

Seeing your posts makes me want to call again! Kinda wishing i waited until today with you... I called Monday and they said to call back Friday. I may try for tomorrow! :thanks: Thank you so much for all of your updates my deed was recorded the same day as yours.

I bet you are right there with mine (just without a few phone calls). Hopefully you'll get everything on the first call. :)
