We are going to rent a vacation home for 10 of us from July 15-22, 2012. We will spend 3 days in Disney and 2 days in US/IOA. To take advantage of FOTL and early entry for HP, I am thinking to book one night RPH for July 16th $279 to get FOTL for 2 days. However, we have 10 people in total. Do they have 5 people room or I need to book 3 rooms? Are these days very busy? Does it make sense to pay the hotel rooms but not staying there? I will go US/IOA and Disney again in Dec. There will be 3 of us in Dec only. We will spend 3 or 4 days in US/IOA and 4 days in Disney. We won't rent a car in Dec. What tickets should I buy for Disney? Should I get AP? I will get Universal AP for sure. Should I book the RPH now and adjust the AP rate later? How deep is the discount normally? Thank you

You can have a max of 2 adults and three children in each room without any extra charges.

You can have a total of 4 adults and one child but each additional adult will be an extra $25/night.

Adults are considered to be 18 and older.

Mid July is pretty busy, you should book soon. There may not be any AP discounts for July depending on how busy it is. Just keep watching for APH rates (use that code) and if you see something, just call and have them change the rate.

AP rate can get up to 35% but that is never guaranteed.

If we have 8 adults and 2 children, two rooms should work, right? 4 adults and 1 child in each room. We only need to pay 2 x $25 extra. Still better than booking 3 rooms. We can get 10 FOTL passes this way, right? Should I call to RPH to make reservation directly?

Yes. Each of you will get a photo express pass that can be used for the day you check in and the day you check out.

Call 1-888-464-3617. It is the central reservation system for the three onsite hotels.

damo, I just get a quote online and 4 adults and 1 child should cost $50 extra instead of $25. Just FYI, it's still better to book 2 rooms since we won't sleep there anyway.

Yup, that is correct. It is 2 x $25 for each room. Each extra adult more than 2 adults will cost $25 like I said before.

Ohhh, I see. Max 2 adults in a room. 4 adults plus one 15 years old pay extra $50 only, right? Damo, you are very fast and helpful! :worship:

Oops. I'm slower this time! Yes, you've got it all figured out now. Just keep watching for any discounts. And if they come up, call and have them change things. Don't wait though because discounts get gobbled up really quickly!

Damo, one more question, I will stay at RPH this July, Dec and Mar 2013, maybe Aug 2013. Should I sign up YouFirst Reward Membership to get the benefits? I just signed up and didn't get the membership # yet, do I need to provide the membership # when I make reservation? Will it affect the APH rate? Thanks again:goodvibes

Yes, sign up now and call to have them add it to your reservation. The great thing about it is that when you stay your second time, you'll get free internet and perhaps a room upgrade if there is one available when you check in.

It won't affect the rate at all. With certain rates you don't get the credit for staying onsite.

Another nice thing about the you first program is, when you call to make a reservation just give them your you first number and all your info is there. Also they use the same CC on file to book the room.

When you go up in status to gold or platinum then its best to call so you get your free upgrades if available at time of booking. :thumbsup2

Thank you Bluer101. I wish I will have gold status. Will the previous stays expire after certain period of time?

according to the Loews website, yes.
