...that you now seemingly MUST have a £1 coin to hand if you want to use a trolley at the supermarket?
I had to change a £20 note today. The cashier rolled her eyes. I also waited in line for 10 minutes to do this.
I need to get one of those things on key chains that fit the trolley slots.

Another time I was walking to get a trolley as one woman was taking hers back and all of a sudden she grabbed her trolley like she was "protecting her young" and said "You can't have mine - there's a SPECIAL coin in it". So I waved my "SPECIAL" coin right back at her and explained I wasn't headed for her trolley! Thinking about it they seem to be more bother than they are worth! But I do hate it when you don't have one and you get to the trolley bay and realise you have no change. I nearly gave myself a heart attack once trying to do a big shop using one hand basket
