Does Ice water make you gain weight?

Me. I can only drink water at room temp.

Years ago I had a doctor tell me ice cold water was bad for the kidneys???

I'm not a doctor, but I would think the water would have to be shootin through you pretty fast to reach the kidneys while it was still cold. Wouldn't it warm up on the way? How fast does it make the trip??? I'll have to brush up on my anatomy.....are there any stops along the way?
