Does HM use Fastpass when it has the Nightmare Before Xmas?

I can't remember if they have FP for this ride during the Nightmare before Xmas overlay. At one point they did, but do they still? We will be there Sept 18-22. Thanks!

They offer it for HMH when it's busy. When the park isn't busy, they don't use it.

DS and I hoofed it all the way across DL to get a FP one Wednesday after lunch. I didn't know where the machines were because DH had gotten them the previous time. When I asked the CM, she looked at me like I was nuts and pointed to the standby time above us that said "10 minutes."

So if the park isn't busy, don't make a special trip all the way over there just for a FP. I think the only FP they were using that day was for Space Mountain with the Ghost Galaxy overlay.

long story short, but my 12 year old will only be with us on the weekend part, and he REALLLLLYYY wants to see it. We will get there on Saturday about 10-11am, so I am not sure what the lines will be like by then. It's on his 'must do' list. :)

Thanks for the quick reply- it helps with our strategy. :thumbsup2

im sure with or without a fp you will be able to see it, the line moves so quickly because they can take so many people at one time.:santa:

If you go there immediately, you shouldn't have to wait more than 20 min hopefully. However, later in the day the line can reach up to 45 min and you will probably want a FP. Plus with HMH FP, you only have to wait like 3 min, as opposed to some other rides with FP that still make you wait a little bit (like Indy or Autopia)

Cool!

I realize this is slight OT, but do you guys think this is a good touring plan? I am a DL vet, just the last 10 years we frequent WDW more often. I know Saturdays are quite crowded at DL.

Our flight lands at 9:15AM at Orange Cty airport. We're renting a car. Drive to GRand CA, check in and scoot to DL. I'm hoping by 11? Go on Haunted, then use our Fastpasses for the Give a Day promo for Splash, go on Pirates, go on Indy with promo FPs, check out line for Jungle Cruise. Use our FP for BTMRR. Have a late lunch in here somewhere. Then head over to Buzz and Space, Capt EO. We want to see WOC from the DVC (we are staying DVC Grand CA) balcony, and come back in the park after it's over to go on the Submarines and a couple other rides. Do the subs still get very long lines during the day? Will it be doable (as in a 45 minute line or less) if we go in at 10pm or so?

My son's 'must dos' for DL are the above rides- he said everything else is gravy. The Sunday we'll take him to DCA and then he has to come home to Portland for school on Monday (my mom and I are going to DL for 5 days, son for just 2; my DH will be at home....). Anyway, I guess my main question is, should we wait for the Subs for late at night, or is it doable around dinnertime? He has never been on them. They were closed all the times he went as a smaller boy, and then the last time we went, the line was ridiculous unless you went on it first thing (and we were too busy doing the mountains, ;) ).

Do the subs at night, get in line at 11:59 and you're good to go. :)
Get FP for HMH if the stand by line is more than 20-30 min, and the rest of your plan sounds good. :)
the subs always have long lines, it's a slow loader so we tend to go at the very end of the night. :)

That's sort of what I Was thinking....just get in line for the subs at 11:45 or so. We know that DCA opens at 10, so we have time to sleep in a bit. :) Thanks!

Well remember that your tickets are hoppers so you can hit DLR in the morning before you go to DCA :)

yes and no. Mom and I will have hoppers. DS will not- he's using his GAD promo for his pass on Saturday, and I'm buying him a 1 day ticket for Sunday. :)

thanks for getting me thinking- I will just upgrade my son's GAD voucher to a 2 day park hopper. It's only $7 more than buying a single park ticket. Woo hoo!

If the holiday overlay is going then there is a FP. Check your dates. In years past HMH didn't open back up till Sept 30th or so.

HalloweenTime starts on 9/17 this year, so HMH will definitely be up when Alice28 is there. Last year, HalloweenTime started on 9/25, and HMH was up. The year before (2008), it started on 9/26, and HMH was up. In 2007, HalloweenTime started on 9/21, and HMH was up.
