Does HM close while they remove overlay?

Hi,

So do they close HM for a few days to remove the Nightmare Before X-mas overlay? If so, when?

What about any other rides. Do they close to add or remove holiday decor - like small world?

We are thinking of going beginning of Nov. but can be flexible with first or second week. We'd like to not miss attractions because of this.

They do close HM and iasw for a couple weeks while taking OFF the overlays.

However, that won't happen until January.

I'm not sure when iasw will be closed to ADD the yuletime overlay. HM will already be up and running for 1.5 months by early Nov.

According to previous MousePlanet weekly updates, going all the way back to 2003 (link):

IASW usually goes down on the second-to-last Monday in October, and it usually takes 18 days to install the holiday overlay.

There haven't been any official announcements about IASWH, but if this year is similar to the previous few years, then

IASW would be down from Monday, Oct. 19, until Thursday, Nov. 5, and

IASWH would open on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009.
