Does free dining sell out pretty fast?

Hello!
Just curious about how quickly free dining sells out. Do I have to be on the phone the day it's released to book or are there typically rooms available for awhile?

Depends on when you're going, what resorts you're looking at and also how many rooms are available. We've called the morning it's open to public and waited an hour, we've called morning of and not waited at all. So, depends on everything I mentioned. We're visa cardholders, so we now call as that offer opens and in 2013 we didn't wait at all calling when the phones opened.

Certain resorts sell out quicker then others. Certain room categories sell out quicker then others.

It depends when and where you are staying. If you are flexible on those things, I wouldn't worry about calling the day it is released. However, it is possible for certain room types to sell out on the first day.

Some resorts and room types will be very limited and will sell out quickly. If you are picky about the resort or room type, the sooner you'd need to call.

Great! Thanks for the advice. We're hoping for Caribbean Beach (never stayed at a mod!) since I know POR and POFQ typically aren't included in free dining. I'm also a Visa card holder so if they release early for holders I can do that. I'm just not sure on dates and don't know if I'll know by the time FD is supposed to be released!

I've never heard of anyone not getting FD at one of the resorts that it is offered. You may not get your first choice but it is usually available somewhere. We plan on going to CBR too. That's a pretty large resort they need to fill so hopefully(fingers crossed) it will be offered there.
