Does FP+ factor into your secret (KOTS) plans?

My wife has given me the tentative green light to book a trip this year but we haven't told the kids yet. We've done the surprise trip before and planned the ADRs and BBB but we were on FP- then so we had a priority in each park then kind of went with the flow of the day. With FP+ a little more thought has to go into it. While I could certainly guess what they want and if they don't like it try to change it or I could blow the secret and include them in planning.

Of course, this assumes that 5 months from now FP+ is working the way I think it will be.

What would you do?

We are going next month and I've wondered the same thing. This is a surprise trip for my kids, but I still went ahead and picked the FP+ and am hoping for the best. The only one I'm concerned about is that I got a FP+ for all 6 of us to see Anna & Elsa, and my 13 year old son will hate it lol. But hubby wants us to do it all together since this is a pre-deployment trip.

I'm sure your kids will be fine with what you choose. And if they don't like the plans, they can always be rescheduled the night before via the MDE app too.

Based on my own experiences and what I have read about, there seems to be a decent amount of same day availability for FP+ reservations.

I would book what you think the kids would want, and when you do reveal the surprise, you may be able to make some changes to the FP reservations if needed.

That's what I am wondering too. I even went to the sticky with abbreviations but no luck.

I have a trip planned for August, kids do not know. I am picking fp+ Based on what I think all will like, but will change it during trip if there appears to be a problem with my choices. The main problem I for see is that my 6 year old may not want to ride all the mountains. If that happens, we may just rs anyway.

Kots has multiple slang meanings and keeper of the secret is not the one that came to my mind. It also means something along the lines of continue to discuss poop, or keep on talking ____.

Yes, I am already stressing over this! But I'm also stressing about what color Magic Bands to get everyone, so you can imagine what a worrywart I am, lol. At least you can go back and change the FP+ if your group wants to do something different.
