Does EPCOT parking routinely fill on weekends for Food & Wine?

This was something I wasn't prepared for. Obviously I should've done EPCOT in the afternoon and swimming at night, instead of vice versa. When I went there around 5 they were turning everyone away, the parking lot was full. I guess the park wasn't full because they said we could park at Magic Kingdom, but I was worried that it would be too crowded for me to enjoy.

So is this a routine weekend happening?

During F&W yeah. Lots of locals show up Fri/Sat nights, so they will use alot of the parking.
