Does early check-in at BWV give you better chance for requests?

I'm renting points from a DVC member for a stay at the BWV. I'm hoping for a pool view, near an elevator. Will it be worth my time to try to get checked-in before I head to AK for the morning to try to get my requests? Or are the room assignments already set in stone and it doesn't matter what time of the day I check-in?

I know at non-DVC resorts the early bird gets the worm(or has a better chance)!!!

you should - the preferred views has alot of swimming pools views.

they have lately changed their policy and even in the DVC resorts - the early bird can (not will) get their choice.

you can check in at 7:00 am.

now if you got a standard view - then no - there is no swimming pool views with the standard view.

both preferred and standard have rooms very close to the elevators.
