Does DVC get onboard credit on DCL?

Hi-
Just read in my passporter that Disney's offers an oboard credit to DVC Members regardless of whether you pay with points or cash. Is this true?

Not that I know of. We have sailed on points, and got no credit (not even eligible as a points cruiser to get a first time cruiser credit), and we definitely got no special credit when we booked a cash reservation (that got fouled up by Hurricane Frances).

The only credit I could see them honoring is the current promotion for Disney AP holders. (because that is independent of paying points or cash.)


I have a Disney Visa but cannot get the credit because cruise is paid with points not credit card...

(even though I paid my exchange fee with dis visa)

Passporter could be referring to onboard offers to rebook though....

I went once on points (at least partially) and received no credit. 2005 will be our 3rd cruise using cash and every year we received some kind of credit. This year we are receiving $200.00 per cabin because we booked on board last year.
