Does DVC announce ticket promotions in July every year?

Even before the Star Wars announcement, I was planning an early December 2019 trip, I usually do every other year at that time. I can see that this will be tough even at 11 months (Boardwalk). It usually is anyway and add the Star Wars possibility.

I bought the promo AP last year but to be honest, it really didn’t save me anything. I usually get Gold, don’t go around Easter or Christmas, or do water parks. So same price as Gold. I bought it in the off chance extra perks were added for Platinum Plus. I activated last December and am good for this year. I’ll need a new one for next April. One interesting thing will be to see if they do something similar to DL and add additional blackouts.

I usually get gold too, that's why I didn't jump on the promo AP last year. And now that it turns out we could have used it, I wish we had got them.

I don't think fall 2019 will be any lighter for DVC. One of the big things about DVC is it means no trip is "one and done!" and the reasons fall is so popular won't be going away - F&W, W&D Half, fall vacations, Halloween, Christmas, weather.

Agree, some may bank or rent their points but majority with an AP in their pocket will still visit

I was earlier referring to bookings via CRO at the resorts

I was interested to read that the block out dates for DisneyLAND annual passholders were increased in anticipation of the opening of SWL there next summer.

For that reason, I agree with _auroraborealis_, no ticket "deals" for DVC member in the near future. Hope we are both wrong, though. :)
Actually they haven't increased, they changed them to be park specific and for DCA many blackout dates were removed on many of the pass levels.

Additionally, Disneyland has been lifting blackout dates for both passholders and cast members close to last minute, for example cast members were blocked out from signing in over Memorial Day Weekend and about 4 days prior they lifted those blockouts.

Now the reality is, I don't see deals on APs at Disneyland, since Galaxy's Edge opens in summer, but I do think that we will see some discounts on APs at Disney World. Although, I do think there will either be restrictions on Hollywood Studios or you will have to activate the APs by something like Mid August of this year to prevent them from overlapping Galaxy's Edge opening at Hollywood Studios since it will be opening in fall there.

If you can join Club 33, you don't have to worry about any AP specials
Huh? I just looked through this thread and I find no mention of Club 33, yes those that can afford to get Club 33 really wouldn't have to worry about AP specials, but those of us who can't afford that still try to save money when we can.
