we will be arriving in WDW nov 22. we're going to be staying off property and need to find the most efficient way to get around to the parks and what not. I am an annual pass holder, and the other people in my party will have hopper passes so this will allow us to use disney transportation. my question for you is if there is parking in downtown disney and how early can you get it from there?
is there a better way of doing this?

To answer your question, Yes there is parking at DTD.

HOWEVER, Disney wants it to be used for those going to DTD so they make it very hard to do what you want to do. In the past the parking lot was filled up with people doing just what you want to do.(and avoid the $7.00 parking fee)

There are NO busses to the parks from DTD. You must first go to a resort, then transfer to a park bus. I think the busses don't start running to DTD until 9:00. Your best bet is to park at one of the parks. There is Disney transportation between parks.

Once your friends pay for parking at one park they just show their receipt at the others. Or you could park at one and use Disney transportation. Parking at DTD wastes time better spent in the parks.

Show your annual pass to the toll taker and your park parking is free.

With a car, park hopping to and from Magic Kingdom is better by driving since you must take the monorail or ferry back to the parking lot (TTC) to catch non-stop park to park buses.

(Parking at resorts may be limited to 3 hours depending on anticipated crowding.)

Next trip: If all goes well, arrival Nov. 22 off site with rental car and AP. (Staying at All Star Music Nov. 23-30)
