Does Disneyland Paris take American Disney gift cards?

My daughter is going to Disneyland Paris before she heads to Germany to study for a semester in August. I wanted to send her with some Disney gift cards for food and souvenirs etc. if they work there. Can someone please confirm yes or no if they can be used. The 2 Disney stores gave me 2 different answers.

They only work in the US.

Can you buy DLP park tickets here in the us with Disney gift cards?

The USA gift cards don't work for anything at all at DLP. You can use a USA credit card without a pin but it is harder for them as most don't know about sliding the card.

Lucky for your daughter to be studying in Germany. It is lovely there. We like to bike the ride the mosel river every summer.

US Disney gift cards definitely do not work at DLP. You could buy travelers checks in Euros.
